this school is so unorganized! The principal always seems to be running around like a chicken without a head. I think they have great teachers, they just need a better leader! (Principal).

Some of the professors at this school need to go back to school to take child development classes to learn how to work with children. The principal and some professors lack a lot of education for this field.

Maxson Elementary is a school striving to improve its test scores. However, in their efforts to do this teachers are vehemently encouraged if not forced to focus only on reading and writing. Everyone is on a pacing chart and are tested every six weeks. Because of this there is no time in the day to address Science, Social Studies and Physical Education. Music is offered to 8th graders only and they are bused to a middle school for those classes. There are 2 after school sport programs for 4-6 grades but are seasonal and space in limited. Overall the school is not well rounded, the quality of its academic program is mediocre.
