I taught DARE at this school. I found the teachers and administration to be top notch. The teachers care about the students and do the best they can. The lower test scores come from the social-economic conditions in the area, not from lack of caring by the staff.
My two children have attended Pyle (the neighborhood school) and the teachers care! Their test scores may not be the best but the teachers are. They are challenged by the diverse and ever-changing student population and strive to do the very best for each one. Many students are newer to English and their parents are less aware of the language. I can only say good things about them and the school. Each and every member of the staff are dedicated. It is up to the students and the families to take advantage of it. Choosing Pyle is not a bad choice. I could have transferred my kids and don't regret the choice not to. They both have went on to Edison Computech.
