GMES is the best place on earth! The teachers are caring and supportive, the principal is easy to talk to and lovingly takes care of business, and everyone from students to faculty to parents are one big family! I attended 1st through 6th grade and know I am who I am today because of the foundation I received at this school. Any child would be lucky to attend GMES, and I hope my children will attend some day! Please check this school out--you won't be sorry you did!

I attended GMES from first through sixth grades. I credit GMES with molding me into the successful individual that I am today.

At GMES, the teachers and staff embrace the individuality of each child's strengths and weaknesses to help them thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The small classroom size and student to teacher ratio creates a very intimate and nurturing place for students to learn. As a former teacher, the small teacher to student ratio made it possible for me to give specialized attention to each student's needs. I was able work with each child at their own pace and create material to aid them in their learning. Year by year, a large number of students score very high on the end of the year state testing, which says a lot about the quality of education provided at GMES, considering that test taking is not part of the Montessori Method. I was very impressed by the close knit relationships formed between students, due to the small classroom size; this makes each student feel special and important which helps develop positive self esteem. At GMES, I always felt like family and I know that many of the students and parents felt the same way. Alumni always come back to help out or just visit because their experience at GMES was very special.

I went to Glendale Montessori Elementary School many years ago, and credit much of the successes that I have had in life to my early education there. Both my older brother and sister went to the school as well and all of us still to this day keep in touch with the teachers, educators and friends that form the family feel of this magnificent school. If you are looking for a learning environment where your children will grow, be nurtured, and loved, you really shouldn't look any further. The academics at the school gave me a leg up in life and help me outdistance many of my classmates in middle school, high school, college and grad school. GMES gave me the solid base that I needed with the extra one on one attention that many children need and deserve.

If you would like a school where the teachers will love your child as much as you do, This Is The Place! Honestly! My son graduated five years ago and the teachers still reach out to show him love and support and educational advice! He received such a marvelous education and learned such strength from GMES, I would happily recommend this school and these teachers!

As a former student of Glendale Montessori Elementary School, I can honestly say that this school shaped me in to the person I am today. The teachers place a strong emphasis on education, creative thinking and respect. The small class size makes for a nurturing relationship with the teachers and between classmates. I am still close friends with the majority of my classmates from GMES and I am in my mid 20s! Each student works at their own pace so they are able to excel past their grade level or can get the one-on-one help needed from the informative teachers. GMES is a school that I would recommend to anyone and I hope my children and children's children will be able to attend and receive the same life long learning experience that I did.

Our 2 girls have been attending GMES since Kindergarten and they are now in 5th and 4th grade. They have excelled in all their subjects but most of all LOVE LEARNING! The teachers are very focused on tailoring the way they teach to how each child learns. It's a very comforting, safe environment where children are allowed to be themselves and encouraged to be creative and thinking outside the box. It's a shame that public schools don't adopt a more Montessori approach - so many children would benefit from this type of education. My girls both learn at their own pace and aren't held back if they are flying through something, likewise, they are given the help they need if they are facing any kind of challenge with the materials given. All in all, I feel so blessed that we found this school. It's a one room school house feel that will put them into the world with a ton of self-esteem, confidence and an appreciation for learning. What more could parents ask for?

3 years ago, my eldest son was enrolled at our neighborhood public school (Columbus) for kindergarten. Woefully, that school did not come close to meeting our expectations. At that time, my wife and I did not know where to start in our search for a private education. Fortunately, friends of the family referred us to Glendale Montessori Elementary School (GMES). This is a great school, with caring teachers, and no bureaucracy. I was, however, very skeptical at first. At the first parent/teacher meeting, I heard warm, supportive reviews from current/former students, as well as parents, all of whom seemed to love GMES. I was somewhat doubtful that all these people could value this school that much. After the meeting, I even got a hug from the school's director, Nina. Was this some new-age learning program? Well, let's just say that today I am a firm supporter of the school and all of its teachers, K-6. I have since enrolled my youngest boy, and we are now starting our 3rd year at GMES. If you're looking for a close knit community, with direct access to teachers, and a program that is looking for direct input from parents, you have found the right place!

My daughter graduated from the GMES and it was a wonderful experience for our whole family. The friendships formed there have been lasting and there is a sense of belonging that is very supportive to my daughter. She did extremely well academically and there was a lot of parent involvement. The school does not have a large facility but they made up for that with meaningful field trips.

A warm family-like community environment, academic excellence: they teach to the child, rather than the test, and instill a passion and curiosity for learning in their students. Chess club, pizza Fridays, a high level of parent involvement - what more could a family ask for???
