I find it unaccepable that there is no cafeteria for the children to sit down and eat, indoors. Rainy days are a nightmare, the staff doesnt seem to mind, they can eat in their class rooms!

I'm a very sad student knowing that i will some day live this school some day. I had the most funnest memories that i I'am gladly to keep with me that had happened in this school. The teachers are very helpful and successful in teaching the students. All i have to saw is that I love coming to this school very much and i dont care if its smell becuase its better this way so everybody could know each other. I'am a student of class '08

I was once a student in Barbara Spratling Middle School. I'm a 12th grader (senior) right now. Barbara Spratling Middle School is a place where I enjoy and had fun. The school focused on you. The teachers help for every student to reach their expectations as well as their own. The teacher inspired me to achieve more than what I am looking for. I m thankful to have come into a school which focused on what you needed. I want to thank the entire teacher and staff that put there trust in their student and work.

My child is currently a 6th grader at Spratling. My daughter has Down Sydrome and has been fully included and accepted by the staff. She has been given opportunites to grow and be treated as a pre-teen. Subsiquently the other children have given the same interactions to my daughter they see the staff engage in. The school is willing to make adjustments to meet her needs. I have seen a sense of pride within the staff and peers when my daughter reaches a new milestone. This school year she has gone to 6th grade camp, joined the basketball team and went to her first slumber party. To other parents these are just things twelve year olds do, to our family these are opportunites that most children like our daughter will never experience.

The teachers at Spratling really care for their students. Their expectations are high, and students try to meet them. There are quite a few athletic opportunities, but I would like to see the lack of a music corrected. Students do need music, too!

I think that this school does the best it can. They do well in spite of the fact that supplies are very limited and teachers do not have as much support as they need. The distrect needs to figure how to get the students and the teachers what they need to do their jobs. Parents need to get more involved and not expect the district to do everything.
