I am a graduate of hughson high school. I transfered to hughson because I was having trouble getting help from teachers at ceres high and my grades were slipping majorly. This was the best change in my life I have ever made. My grades went from all being in the gutter to all a's with one b.... and they were consitant untill graduation. The teachers here car about the children as well as their grades. Band, choir and drama are all excellent classes and have great teachers. This is an exceptional school =)

My daughter is currently attending this school and I have found that they are very good about letting you know if your child is needing help in any area. They also have a wonderful music department...band and choir...as well as drama.

Academics seem to be appropriate for most students. Teachers have given my daughter extra help when necessary, taken time to speak with me, and the administration has been readily available to me with a couple of small issues we've had. I feel like my daughter is safe there, and receiving the guidance she needs. I do wish there were more options for extracurricular activities and more options for foreign language. I love the small town atmosphere and the parent involvement. Parents are encouraged to be involved and I try to take full advantage of that.

The quality of academics at Hughson is deplorable. Music and extracurricular activities are the lone area where the school is somewhat exceptional. The counseling for colleges and other plans beyond the high school are nonexistent. Parents participate to the extend that they see that their child receive the acceptable grade or playing time in the athletic arena.

this school is one of the worst schools you can send your child to,the teachers are not very good at their jobs and the administration doesn't actually care if your kid needs help. I had to remove my child from this school because I don't think i could live with sending my child to such a horrible place everyday. She comes home miserable and depressed, and I know my daughter, and she is a happy, sweet, and lovable person. She doesnt deserve to feel like this everyday.
