Meadow Park is an excellent school, just having received the California Distinguished School award for second time. We love the teachers at the school and there are plenty of parent volunteers with a very active PTA. The atmosphere of the school is very warm and offers that small school feel where you get to know many families. The principle is very approachable and stays in close communication with students / parents alike.
Don't let your child buy lunch at this school except on pizza day when the food is purchased from an outside vendor. They sell moldy cheese and other horrifying sickening lunches. The kids have known for years.
Both the teachers and staff are very active in the students life. I am always informed of everything that is going on and they have great tools for students to learn
Great Teachers, a lot of parent involvement and has academic excellence
Meadow Park is a wonderful school and we are very lucky to have had our children attend. The staff is wonderful. The parents and PTA are extremlly active and provide many programs and activities through out the entire year. We could not ask for more! Go, Mustangs!
Meadow Park is a wonderful neighborhood school! I have had three children go through this school and they have all had wonderful educational and social experiences at the school. Because Irvine has 'school choice,' we have explored other schools, one child attended an AAPAS program at another Irvine school for a year, and another attended a 'basics plus' school for kindergarten. I guess you always wonder if the grass is greener on the other side. We have always returned to our 'own backyard,' Meadow Park, which is a true community of teachers, parents and students committed to learning and nurturing the students' growth in all ways.
My children have been at Meadow Park Elementary since Kindergarten. They both have excelled tremendously academically and made many friends. The school is rich in extracurricular activities and fundraisers. Our technology department is top of the line. I have yet to be disappointed with any teacher there. They are extremely well prepared and FUN!!! They are knowledgeable and well trained, but most of all, THEY CARE AND LOVE WHAT THEY DO and it shows!!!!
This school has a great source of parent volunteers from which the staff and children both benefit. The children, overall, are a very nice group. Like any school, some teachers are truly gifted and some are not. The current principal is leaving and going to a new school September, 2007. I do not think highly of her and look forward to a change of leadership. This is an older, somewhat crowded school and is not in the top 10 in Irvine.
I love Meadowpark School. My oldest started in K and will be graduating this year. He is very well prepared for middle schoo.
Meadow Park has a great principal who is actively involved and keeps the quality of education high. The teachers are experienced and dedicatated.
