This was my first year at MacArthur and I found it to be a great school. My daughter is in kindergarten and has a fantastic teacher. My daughter is doing well academically and socially. I'm looking forward to bringing my other daughter to MacArthur next year. The principal, teachers and staff are communicative, positive and very supportive. I also like the extracurricular activities for students and families. My mother-in-law is a former 3rd grade and kinder teacher and was very impressed with my daughter's teacher and classroom. MacArthur has been a very positive experience for our family.

I have 2 children at MacAthur: 1 in 5th Grade, 1 in 1st Grade. My 5th Grader has been at MacArthur since Kindergarten. We have experienced many changes at MacArthur since 2005. Some were frustrating, most have been Great! Our school is definitly moving in a positive direction. Unlike other reviewers, I feel Principal Gutierrez has been the best thing that has happened to our school. As a parent, he has made us feel connected by always keeping us in the loop of what is going on at MacArthur. The staff / Teachers seem much happier, the students are much happier and it has become a place we all enjoy visiting. The kids test scores are way up - you can't ask for anything more!

An organization is only as good as its managment/leader. This school leaves much to be desired. Some staff are more concerned about popularity and recognition than the progress of the students individually.

Principal is more concerned with the teachers and his reputation with them than this students. Identifiying childrens weakness is poor here. If your child is struggling socially or academically, do not send to this school.

My daughter started kindergarten this year at MacArthur. She has learned so much from her teacher Mrs. Robertson she is from tucker and she is fabulous. The whole kindergarten team that came is well organized and work well together.

Wonderful Leadership. Teachers are creative and willing to go the extra mile to work together with parents for their children.

I have two children at MacArthur. The principal is great. Staff seem to be interested in the good of the students. The teachers I have been exposed to have been awesome. Strict but they make my kids excited about what they are learning. Kindergarten teachers are teaching because they want to be there and you can tell in the results of the students. PTA could use more parent involvement. On-site after school care called Kids Club is awesome! Younger staff who create a very inviting and creative atmosphere. Rates are very reasonable. If you child attends MacArthur, please get involved. It makes all the difference!
