Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

A beautiful campus with the most affluent families in the district, it has suffered from leadership issues over the last few years and we have seen uneven teacher quality. It has a strong PTA. Our son liked this school, but we felt two of his teachers were underwhelming. We have since transferred to BCS and are very pleased we did so. Still, Gardner Bullis is a good school and a fine example of why people move to Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

My child has been at Gardner Bullis for two years and loves it! The teachers have been excellent. The new principal is amazing -- energetic, technology aware and inspiring. Learners at different stages are challenged at just the right level by the use of small groups for core subjects like reading and math. The advanced students are challenged. There is no stigma for learning at a different pace or for special needs students. The school has a strong emotional learning program called Project Cornerstone. Enrichment opportunities abound: music, dance, theatre, art, buddies, student council, giving back, science fair, jr. olympics, P.E., field day, environmental awareness during school. Plus, after school Spanish and Mandarin as well as robotics, legos, science, writing, art, sports, homework club and much more. As part of the top ranked Los Altos School District, Gardner Bullis shares core programs with the other schools as well as enrichment opportunities after school. The parent community at the school is very active, supportive and welcoming. Many social opportunities for new families in the area.

Gardner Bullis School is a fabulous place of learning for the neighborhood children, and is a central part of the Los Altos Hills community. The majority of the teachers have been there since it re-opened (or they've come from another LASD school) and all of them have proved that they care about teaching the kids to love learning. Result: well-rounded, interesting kids. Proud Grizzly Family!

I have two children at Gardner Bullis and can't say enough wonderful things about this public school. The teachers are motivated, innovative and experienced. The school is an amazing community of parents, kids, teachers and administrators where your child (and you) will be known by name to everyone on campus. I especially love the focus on Project Cornerstone, an anti-bullying/whole-child program that the entire school supports. Gardner Bullis has a whole range of programs to nurture my children - PE and noontime adult-led activities, music/drama/art, and gardening to learn about nutrition and science. In addition, the school integrates technology into each classroom and has before and afterschool classes to allow families to choose to supplement their education through Mandarin, Spanish, chess, design, chorus, creative writing, and math. Can you tell how much I love this school?!

We love it here! We've been made to feel very welcome by the parent and teach community, and greatly appreciate all of the excellent teachers here, many of whom have been teaching for many years and so are very experienced! There are numerous programs that my children enjoy and there is a great after-school program as well.

This school is now in its second year and going strong. It has a great parent community that is supportive both of strong academics and of social/emotional development. It is very small which contributes to a family feel.
