Too many kids in a classroom, teachers call off continuously, great principal. Now however curriculum not looking good to prepare kids for high school

This is a great school. With Mr. O at the helm, I can expect this school to continue to provide a great education. I attend this school for 9 years and it helped me prepare for high school and even college. Even while I was getting my Master's degree, I thought back to some of the lessons I learned from the great teachers at St. Thomas. Sometimes they have horrible teachers, but some of the other positive aspects overpower that. I'm not quite sure about the teachers now, but I trust the the principal is making the right hiring decisions.

my oldest son graduated from St. Thomas in 2011 and I have another son in 1st grade. He was very happy there. Mr O. is back as principal after several years and is doing a great job. The teachers care about their kids and all the kids seems to get along great, You don't have to worry about your kid getting beat up or bullied at school as in public schools, and they teach values which is important in bringing up good kids.

This is a great school. The curriculum is top notch. The teachers and parents care about the kids.

Graduated not to long ago and I can safely say now that St. Thomas absolutely did not prepare me for high school. The curriculum taught at St. Thomas is terrible, they cater to the lower students and hardly challenge the intelligent ones. The teachers were average when I attended and I have heard they've gotten worse. It's not a terrible school but for the money you can easily find a better education.

I was a student at this school and graduated in 2006. This school has helped formed me in the best way. Not only did it offer a good education, but there are several extra curriculars including musical theatre, student council, and sports. I was extremely happy at this school, and just because one parent was dissatisfied with administration doesn't mean all are. The teachers helped form my good study habits, and I am proud to be an alum of this elementary school.

This is the second year my children are attending St.Thomas. I love the quality of education the teachers provide. The principal and vice principal always get involved with the children education and always try to provide the parents with all the help they need. I don't think I could've find a better school for my children.

My son attends kindergarten and his teacher is very nice. But the staff and the principal are really a joke, they don't seem to have it together, therefore my son will be attending a different school for the coming year. Good luck to St. Thomas.

My children go to this school. It used to be what I thought, a great school! But we've had changes with the new 'acting' principal, Miss Karen Velasquez. She lacks the qualities of a true principal. It seems that 'acting' principal has gone way over her head. Every one misses our 'True Principal' MR.O. I truely believe that if he doesn't return for the next school year(2006-2007), not only I, but many parents will be looking for another school that is now what St. Thomas used to be.

My daughter goes to St. Thomas and she is very happy there and so am I. I believe their overall quality is great.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
