Seriously the best elementary in Los Angeles. Teachers are top notch. Everyone here truly cares about the students and the school.

I went to this school K-5 starting with Mrs.Trevena in Kindergarten and Mr.Stern in 5th grade. All of my teachers were very hard working to keep us focused throughout the years. I loved the staff working at school. I really recommend this school for parents looking for amazing school! :)

high expectation school. unfortunate about the LAUSD situation. Would be great if there was a decent middle school to transition this excellent school to.

I am very fortunate that my kids have wonderful teachers. I must say that the parent involvement is very disappointing. My son went to a nearby school last year for kinder and they were so welcoming to parents being involved in class and around school. We were never kicked off campus and always welcomed. Fairburn won't even allow you to be with your kids on the play yard even while your volunteering. Very disappointing. I feel like I am being cheated of sharing this experience with my kinder child this year when I had such a wonderful experience last year. Overall the school is great.

I called a few times to inquire about the school, registration days, tour dates and I was very disappointed. The staff was very very rude, sounded very bitter and they didn t make me feel welcomed at all. Anyone had any other experience with the administration staff there?

focus to much on testing, not learning. classes are way to big and they are loosing teachers next year. it is really sad.

Our son is finishing up at Fairburn this year. He has been there K-5 and has loved every minute. He has received a wonderful elementary school education. The staff and teachers are dedicated to their school and students.

This has been our first year at Fairburn. There's a great community of parents and a lovely bunch of kids. Our teachers have been brilliant (including the STAR staff) and I feel my daughter couldn't have been more happy!

I am very happy with the fact that my son learns and has fun in such a wonderful environment. The teachers are loving, caring and inspiring, and the administration staff is very friendly and helpful. I also likes the fact that they incorporate quite some enrichment experience into their curriculum, like music, computer, regular visits to the library, etc.

I love Fairburn School because my twin nephews are receiving the kind of education I remember receiving from the Beverly Hills schools I attended many years ago . . .and you simply can't get better than that.

I love Fairburn because I know that my son will never have such a loving, intimate, fun, and inspiring environment as he has had for the last five years at Fairburn. I, myself, was lucky to have attended Fairburn as well. It has been providing generations of children in Westwood with beautiful memories and a solid academic, social, and ethical foundation that sets the standard for the rest of their lives.

Fairburn Elementary has provided a wonderful start to my grandchildrens education. The teachers care and are involved with the students. The boys are eager to go to school and when I walk in the door I feel a special pride from the principal, the teachers and the students. Fairburn should be proud of their public school education.

Our grandchildren go to this school and we have been there numerous times. My favorite part is the playground. Kids can spend supervised hours there after school. Wonderful neighborhood school.
