One Hundred Seventh Street Elementary School 2

The reason my child's still at this school is because thankfully the teachers in the magnet program are really good, there are a handful of other great teachers who truly care about the students, sadly that's not the case with all of them. There are some teachers that are absolutely a joke, and care only about their paycheck. Same goes for the principal. A lot of discipline issues. Nothing gets done about it. Bullying is not taken seriously. If you can, send your chid to a different school, our or else try getting him/her into the magnet program.

Test scores have been low but are on the rise. The parent center is growing. Dedicated teachers at 107th Street Elementary are finding innovative ways to deliver the common core state standards. Some discipline problems go without consequences--nobody in the district wants to suspend and suspensions don't really solve the problem. Discipline is a difficult area in education today.
