the receptionist is very mean, puts up an attitude every time she talks to you. She acts high and mighty.

This school is great. The teachers are welcoming to parents and they stay in constant communication with the parents. My son is in the 5th grade and had a difficult transition from 4th. The requirements are harder because they now are being required to keep their homework assignments until the end of the week after they have allready been checked off each day. The teacher allowes students to turn the work in late if it takes them longer and she sends out progress reports every 2 weeks. There is no excuse why a child fails if the parent is being made aware of the problems. My child wasnt doing his work. He was able to bring his grades up to B's and C's and now the second trimester she allowes me to sit in his classroom. he now gets straight A's and even 2 A+ in math and science

Though Principal is exceptional, I don't have a great love for this school. Teachers often seem easily frustrated, and lack the ability to give students individual attention. By my observation, campus is unsecure. Anyone can sign in as a parent volunteer without showing any identification whatsoever. Teachers often non responsive to calls and e-mails.

Our family moved this year to menifee from San Pedro where my sister attended a private school. We were shocked to learn that although she was an -A- student ( and continues to be) she was ' behind'. Her teacher was great and helped us 'catch up' the staff is really friendly and do their best to remember all the kids names. Great school!

I have child that in kindergarden and has 2 teachers which rotate days, the only problem is one teacher focuses on a child and gives warning after warning while the other understands to teach and reward..2 students were doing the same thing and only one gets the warning, because a teacher has a dislike for a five year old...

My son has difficulty with change, although he had to switch schools due to re-routing of the district, the teachers & faculty at Southshore Elementary made it very easy & welcoming for all of the children. I am very pleased with all of the staff!!!
