I love this school. There are a few teachers that seem to need a good long vacation, but the majority of them are excellent, and very dedicated to their students.

My daughters went to school here and they both had teachers that were burnt out with teaching. One teacher yelled all the time, the other justs needs to retire. It's so unforunate that school can't be a fun learning experience. Teachers are too stressed.

I found the kindergarten to be fine, my child did well. I liked that it was an all day program. Socially, I think there is a lot to be desired. The children are not allowed to bring home the textbooks, so I was unable to help with studies at home. There is nothing for extracirricular activities, and nothing geared for the accellerated student. There is plenty for the 'failing' students. I was refused when I offered to volunteer in the classroom. There were a few teachers who put in the extra time to do a Christmas Program.

After spending some time at this school I have mixed feelings. I think the younger grades get a great start in reading. However, it seems by 3rd grade it is a sink or swim setting unless your child is in danger of flunking the grade - then you get a lot of services. If you have an average or above average child, they do not do much to nurture this in the children. There's no programs for accelerated children here! I think the principal does a great job with the size of the school. Most of the teachers do a great job also.

We have only been at this school a short time, but I am very impressed with the principal and the staff. The only negatives I can say are there is nothing as far as after school (extracurricular) programs...The teachers do a great job! I wish there were more dollars funnelled toward accelerated/enrichment programs so that all kids truly had the same opportunity to advance at their individual levels. (When I was a child the schools had great remedial and advanced programs.) It would be great if they taught the english kids spanish so they could be bilingual also. Overall, I would give the school a good rating.

Both my children attend this school and my oldest daughter is in the 3rd grade now she is well above average in everything. My youngest is in 1st and she is well above average. This school has to many great qualities to mention but a list of few are the teachers that put that little extra in everything they teach our children, the parent particapation is great and very refreshing to see, the reading program that is now in place works great and encourages children to read both at home and school.
