Great high school, academically it is the highest performing in the San Luis Coastal School district. All of my children attended there, my daughter graduated from Cal Poly and recently completed a Master's Degree. My son is working on his doctorate at Univ. of Texas. Morro Bay gave them a great foundation. It has a supportive staff, great teachers, and is one of the most unique sites in the state for a high school, right on the beach! A+

I am a former student. This school did not prepare me for the real world. I was in for major academic shock when I hit junior college then transferred to a CSU. As a result, it took me longer to get through college....and I took 'college prep' classes @ MBHS. Definitely not the place you want your child to attend if you want them to be prepared for Ivy League or UC system schools, but great choice for the trade school bound child or anyone interested in music or surfing. I can't blame the teaching staff though...they deserve to earn far more than what they do for all they provide and have to put up with. Kudos to the great teachers I had!!

My daughter recently graduated from Morro Bay High and I must say I am proud of her. It is her drive and the help of some of the staff that made her what she is today. I appreciate all of those who have touched her life. Thank you.

Morro Bay High School is by far the best High School ever.. Our family just moved here from the East Coast, and I did alot of research on the schools, and the school system, faculty, ect....We chose this area to live, because Morro Bay High School was one of the best choices. Our daughter is getting a very well rounded education, and has mantained a high grade average. Surfs Up!!! Morro Bay!!!

Morro Bay is a good school hampered by the CA curriculum. It prepares kids for the local community college or UC/CSU's, but not as well for top level private schools. They truly care for the students, and try to provide expansive learning opportunities, but can't always budget for them. Perhaps too much emphasis on sports--2 gyms and plenty of playing fields, but no real stage or auditorium with a first class music program and very good drama program! Excellent agricultural program, good opportunities for kids who apply themselves. Fabulous work with ESL and mainstreamed special needs students. Excellent administration and support staff. Would like to see counseling office help kids more with reaching beyond the CA State system.

Morro Bay High School has afforded our son an excellent education. The staff are caring and dedicated and they look out for each individual student. The principal and supporting administrators and counselors know each student by name. They also know their interests and who they 'hang out' with. Morro Bay High School has an excellent music program led by two very talented teachers. We are very pleased with the quality of education at this excellent school.
