I feel ratings do not give the true story when it comes to teacher effort and student outcome. My children have done well and have had excellent teachers who really care going to this school, yet the school is ranked a 5 (on a scale of 1-10) in district ratings.

In my opinion the teachers go above what is required, and put in many more hours than required so that parents and students obtain help and information. More parents need to support and work with the teachers.

In my experience so far, Riverview has been EXCELLENT. My children have, as yet, only been involved in their special education preschool classes, but I have been very impressed with the level to which our teachers have gone to make this education experience a positive one. They have been more than willing to meet with me after school, or field my phone calls during the day. In addition to helping with their education, they have also gone above and beyond the call of duty by helping me with at-home discipline problems. Great school and teachers!
