I love our school and the people in it. The Lord has truly blessed our family in leading us to this place. It's such a pleasure to feel like you are connected to everyone in the school community and really be a part of what is going on. It truly is the best of both worlds, home-schooling and on campus classes all in one. The guidance we receive from the teachers and other parents is invaluable, yet we still get to have that time together at home a couple of days out of the week and have our after school time free to devote to family.

This is such a great school. It is the perfect combination of private Christian school and home school. The emphasis is on great character while challenging the students with excellent academics. Moral Innocence is also of utmost importance. At NCS, teachers and parents are focused on the heart condition of behavior and therefore, they are committed to raising up this next generation to serve God, give Him glory and to be a voice for the voiceless. This school has been producing strong Christian leaders for over 20 years. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Currently my two daughters (age 5 and 7) attend the school, coming from Faith Baptish School in canoga park. This is a great transition environment "step" between traditional home schooling and attending a regular school. Here the parents home school two days/wk, with traditional schooling the other three days. The school truely provide a solid Christian biblical foundation in their teaching, and uses the Becka program in their academics (similar to our previous school). The school is really for true Christian families who want a solid academic program administered in an Christian enviroment, thus avoiding many of the side issues and problems found in secular academic environments. We must say that we are truely pleased and ecstatic with the school and instructors and how our daughters have blossomed in this caring and nuturing environment. This is definitely an oasis.

A small school based around a great community of committed Christian parents striving for character development and great academics at the same time. The three days at campus and two at home give a great opportunity to walk alongside your children as they learn and grow in their walk. The school is completely run by the parents involved, so that means more say in all that happens, but extra work for everyone. The best thing is that from principal and teacher to other parents to you, everyone wants what is best for each child. A loving enriching environment all around.

NCS is a wonderful school. The teachers truly care about the hearts of the students. I am so blessed to be able to have the balance of a classroom setting lead by Godly people, as well as the extra time to spend with my children during homeschool days. Parental involvement is very high which allows for a sense of community to be built with other believers who share the same values. This school is exactly what I had hoped for my family.

I graduated from the Northridge Community School last year; I was there Kindergarten through 8th grade. I drew closer to the Lord there, made life lasting friendships and am so thankful for the teachers and principal that spoke into my life. Wish I could still be there. Miss you, NCS!!!
Eh. Tons of self centered 'pious' people there. Sorta taught me to keep my opinions to myself, and not even bother thinking critically. Closed minded and obscure. Bring to the table a valid argument about the possibility that God may still bestow spiritual gifts, and then get shot down with out of context spiritual text and numerous books by other authors. Not enough time studying the word. I was lucky enough to catch some really good teachers, but the overall atmosphere of the campus is stiff necked and pharasitical. Kids came out like army soldiers. Ready to take orders or face the consequences. Good luck trying to come up with and decipher your own ideologies and morals, you're trained to go to a book. On a brighter note, academics is top notch... If you're able to handle homeschooling with the answer key in the nearby bookshelf..ha.

This school is a great balance for our family...two home school days combined with three classroom days. The best part is being united with like-minded believers in Christ as we strive to raise our children for God's glory.

Best thing I ever did for my kids. Helps me as a mom to fulfill my role to glorify God and train up my kids in the way they should go!

Best kept secret in the Valley! This homeschooler co-op is the perfect place for those who seek a true partneship with a school for their child's upbringing. K-8th with a <10:1 teacher student ratio. Parental involvement is essential but that is precisely what makes this school a special community.

This school is a perfect fit for those who value character and Christian values. The classes are very small offering a lot of teacher interaction. It's not for everyone. A lot of parent involvement is required. There are three days of instruction on campus and two days per week of home instruction. The teachers and principal are very dedicated and love the kids. Acceptance in this school is not guaranteed. Those who've homeschooled before will be best prepared.

About these ratings
The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
