Our family and I love this school! We have found a home here! The administration, teachers and other families really care. When you join NBCA, you are family! Caring, devoted and loving professionals caring for your children's health, welfare and education...what more can you ask for...you're not just a number here.

As an alumni who graduated as Valedictorian and then got accepted to Dominican University of California with an academic scholarship, I can say I am very happy with how well prepared I was for a four year education. NBCA not only offered the small class sizes and fine arts program which were great, but I also enjoyed the outdoor ed. fieldtrips and focus on personal growth as well as academic accomplishment. Overall, I can say when I left it felt like I was leaving not just a community but a family and I'm am very grateful for the friendships I made when I was there.

I moved my daughters from a popular public school several years ago, where they had been slipping through the cracks. They are thriving at NBCA. If you were to ask them about their school they'd say they love it. They feel so supported there by the caring teachers. Their confidence has soared as well as their academic performance. They are both thrilled that the school goes through high school. They are challenged academically and lovingly supported through these growing years. The teachers really care. It is a great partnership. One is in middle school and the other, her last year of elementary. Middle school, in particular has been fantastic, both academically and socially.

I love this school! My son is thriving there. I like the small teacher/student ratio. The staff is friendly and caring.

I was on the faculty at NBCA for nearly a decade and found that the learning environment was exceptional, college-preparatory and AP courses were the norm, facilities were kept in excellent condition, faculty were well-trained educators and superb leaders in church and community, respect for others and conflict-resolution were upheld as crucial tools for everyday life at all levels (student, staff, faculty & board), and that the spiritual encouragement and energetic cameraderie made all the difference in my professional life. It's a time I'll look back upon with pleasure and a sense of great accomplishment. There's simply no other school like NBCA. For kids who thrive in a small school environment, it's the best. For faculty who want to pursue educational goals that far surpass the California standards and really prepare students for life (while not leaving any child behind), it's the place to thrive professionally.

I have 3 children at NBCA and one graduated. We are very satisfied with the teachers, curriculum, quality of the facilities. We appreciate the that NBCA gives charachter grades and emphasizes charachter and the importance of values such as integrity, deference, kindness, self control, courage and humility. Our oldest daughter graduated 3 years ago and is an honor student at Dominica University. We know that NBCA prepared her well. My wife and I recommend NBCA as a great resource for Learning and partner with parents to help kids grow and learn.

We made an excellent decision when we switched from public school to North Bay. Strong character, ethics and academics are focused on. The elementary program and their overall curriculum are excellent. The controlled atmosphere and exceptionally kind teachers, children and parents have allowed my children to relax and learn more, and has encouraged them to achieve a higher level of learning. The teachers are caring, and on many occasions they have been very helpful with problems at home. I can always communicate with them. The discipline is great, promoting kindness, caring, and respect for others. It's a college prep school so be prepared for homework. Uniforms & parental involvement are required. The cost is minimal, and they are willing to work with you on scholarships (BASIC fund, your church, & School). I recommend this school to everyone, this is a great school with great academics and solid Christian values.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
