Best teachers in the state. Everyone is well qualified. Many of them are also college instructors, all of them care a lot about the students, the work they do, and the school itself.

Some teachers give a lot, some give none. Most students finish their work during the day. The school has a tutor room open until 4pm to assist students with their homework. Teachers make themselves available at lunch, before and after school. It... more

Students who work very hard can earn their IGETC certification, or even multiple Associates degrees prior to graduation. This requires a lot of persistence, grit, and determination.

The students are held to high standards. They are treated like an adult and are expected to behave like an adult. Students who can not live up to these standards do not last long.

NBECHS is a free public-charter high school serving students in grades 9-12. Our educational program combines a highly rigorous high school experience with college opportunities. NBECHS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
