Oakland Charter High School

OCAHS is a school that if you don't get your act together you will not be able to understand the subjects better you will stay behind . The teachers can be really be hard on you but its for a good cause they want you too understand better .

I can not believe that this so called prepared and great school can not provide each student with an up to date textbook. Yes some students have to call their classmates for the homework since the school can not provide them with a textbook. The school is not prepared.

This school is a great place to learn. The environment is controlled. The previous poster should visit the school more. The kids are very busy they don't have time to socialize, it's true, that means not much time for bullying either. My kid has never complained about harassment and he is not a big kid.

Although this school is pretty good academically, socially it is terrible. I put my child in this school for them to have a good, controlled education. They say that this school there are no problems, well there are. My child is messed with, harassed, and bullied by many of his fellow classmates. This causes him much stress and agony when he goes to school everyday. I congratulate OCHS on its good scores, but at what cost of the students. My child suffers due to bullying. If you want your child to be safe and have a positive experience with friends and such, this is not the school for you.

I am a current OCHS student . OCHS is main focus is the students. They are a relatively small school that helps the students achieve beyond expectation.To focus on each students better and help have a friendlier and safer environment.Though it is in its infancy they are now starting some more activities out of the classroom to give the students more well rounded education. The teachers help the each student to make sure they are understanding the subjects and answering any questions they need. They are great teachers with the same goal for each student.The goal of giving us a better education and future.

I am a former student of OCHS. I believe that this school had a very string focus on education and if you have a child that is very rebellious and a troubke maker then ochs is the school for him or her. However i wouldn't recommend it to student who are overall good. One thing i do not like about this school is that the teachers and principal can all be very oppresive.
