I am so appreciative of all of the parents who take the time to communicate their perspectives. This is how we become a better place to work and learn. Every single parent perspective is given careful consideration as we create our single plan for student achievment. Perception is everything! I strive to continue refining our already wonderful school with these thoughts and opinions at the forefront of our decision making so we can do what is best for every child even in tough economic times for education. Not one word of a parent or student goes unheard. I urge all parents to keep up the communication! Communication is so important and its a two way street. Most of you know you can email, call, or walk in anytime and your concerns will always be addressed swiftly at Mission Meadows! My greatest respect to the kids, parents, and staff at this wonderful school With great honor to serve as Principal! Mrs. Golden
I love my daughter's kindegarten teacher & I have volunteered in her classroom. The teacher is great! With the lack of $ and little time for the 1/2 day schedule the classroom is not the place to learn another language or guide the ESL students with a full class. The AM/PM program would be a great area to start a program like and maybe some of the bilingual parents could come into assist (any volunteer that has been cleared). Keep up the great work!
My daughter is in kindergarten at MM, and she loves to go to school each day and is learning quite a bit, despite the sad fact that there are are 32 kids in her class! However, she is only there for 3 hours (and for one hour she is with 'just' 20 kids) so it is not too overwhelming. There is an assistant and parent volunteers, so it works. My gripe concerns all the schools in this area and it is that Spanish is not offered in elementary school. I think 1/2 hour a day should be set aside for this (and that same 1/2 hour could be used to give the ESL kids some extra attention.) Everyone would benefit, especially our little sponges! I'm also for uniforms (Oceanside District does it). Overall, MM seems as good as any other Vista Elemenary.
