Great school! The programs offered far exceed higher achieving schools. C'mon let's face it, this is not the richest and most affluent neighborhood. Just look at the kids walking in to Ontario High next door-scarry!. Yet the teachers the office staff, and the administration are trying to do their best to provide for the children that often lack the basics. If you look at the test scores you may be thinking this is not the greatest, but also look at their growth! Awesome! This school needs a PTA/PTO but most folks here are not well versed in English - not to worry the school provides free daycare and ESL class as well! How about getting some parent involved - I am let's go the rest of you, it's about your children as well! Great job Haynes!
My son Justin has been going to Hayes since kindergarten. He is now in 2nd Grade. The teachers at this school are excellent. The parent teacher communication has been excellent in every grade. And the teachers really care about not only meeting and exceeding the standards dished out by the state and feds but to make it a a great learning experience for the kids. They truly care. Every problem my son has had with other children has been addressed immediately and fairly. They are trying very hard to help the kids all get along and learn to be great people not just numbers and test scores. And they are using every tool they have to help them learn and grow. Including this year computer time and dividing kids up by ability instead of grade for specialized learning a few times a week. They are doing all a school can do.
I'm happy that my child is attending Richard Haynes she has more potential and more friends, if i have a problem or concern the office is always ready to put me in contact with the person that can better help me. I really would like this school to offer after school extended care for parent that work after 4:30 p.m. and for example High Five in Chino Ca, parents pay for this care. I also think that they should have sports and computer classes.
Everything is great, my son moved two years ago to this school, and loves it.The other school Mission Elementary was a joke so when we moved we found out he should've been at this school all along.Anyway the sschool is great, and everybody should go to it, and the noon aids have close watches on them
This school believes in the 'no child left behind' program. Richard Haynes is not, in my opinion, a supreme school but adequate. My child has always been in private schools until 1 year ago. This has been somewhat of an adjustment for both of us.
I really worry sometimes this school does not allow kids to use the restroom without being punished.
