Wesley Gaines is a Great School; this is my daughter s firs yr there. I have seen how she has improved academically, and the principal Miss. Stevens and her teacher Miss. Armenta are very nice and caring. Also the staff in the STAR program are great, my daughter loves her after school program.

Although this school focuses on the standards for Language Arts, Math, and ELD, many other IMPORTANT subjects are put on the back burner. These include writing, science, social studies, art, music, and PE. The children only get to go on one field trip a year, which is not enough.

The reading programs that this school offers is wonderful! My child is also doing much better with her math skills. There are not many extra-cirricular activities available through the schhol. I have attended a couple of PTA meetings and there were only a few parents there.

My daughter loved this school. I believe there are alot of teachers that still teach because they want to and it this school you see that in. I personally liked the parent involvement. They only thing I did not like was morning staff not enough but overall B+++.

You get out of an education what you put into it. My child did exceptionally well and we are pleased with his education. Some parents want the school to do it all--this school wants it to be a partnership. Thanks!

As a parent of a kindergartner who is more than properly prepared, I find this school to be inadequate and educationally bankrupt. If your child has a real thurst for knowledge, if you can avoid this school, please do. It will be worth it in the long run. Your child will thank you.
