If you want a school that fosters community, a strong sense of ethics, then Weizmann is the school for you. My husband and I applied to all the top private schools in Pasadena for our child, and in the end, we found that Weizmann was an oasis in the private school world in Pasadena. This is a school where my child has learned the most important lessons in life: acceptance of others and the importance of building community. The facility is awful, but I am a teacher, and I have always said that all you need to create a successful classroom is a one-room school house. Kids don't need smart boards in every room and 10 million dollar computer labs to be academically challenged, create close-knit friendships, learn how to rely on and trust adults, and learn how to play well in sandbox with others.

We have been very happy with this school. It is very small ensuring your child gets plenty of attention. Almost everyone knows one another--students, staff, and families. It's a wonderful and accepting community. Being so small, the classes are excellent at catering to all the kids's needs separately. Kids get extra challenges or extra help, depending on what they need. Another highlight is the Hebrew program. We are simply amazed by the language skills our daughter has learned from only 45 minutes a day of Hebrew. Highly recommend!

The small size and community atmosphere at this school are the best. Students are accepted for who they are and warmly welcomed by all. They are encouraged to enhance and share their strengths, and they work towards their highest level of achievement. All of us enjoy the holidays and the programs that make everyone a star!

After a year in public school we found Weizmann. My daughters enjoy going to school each day. They are in a warm, caring environment and they have bloomed. Their learning has also blossomed. For us this has been a blessing all around.

I was concerned that the small size of the school would not offer enough options or stimulation to my children. I was wrong. The school has consistently met the needs of my children. The small size allows every teacher in every grade to know every student in every grade. A really unique feature is their buddy system. The older children are buddied up with younger children for certain playground activities through out the year. This is an opportunity for both children to grow and learn something about different people.

My son loves Weizmann and so do we!. We chose this school because of its very successful combination of high academic standard and high emphasis in community values. At Weizmann, you also see a true interdisciplinary curriculum where math, art, science, music, language, and other subjects are well crafted in a whole piece that exposes our children to learning in a very unique way. Children at Weizmann are motivated and eager to learn. The teachers are dedicated and caring. We are very fortunate to have found such a positive and joyful learning environment for our child.

Academics at Weizmann are top-notch. The small teacher-student ratio translates into individual attention and small-group reading and math activities. Teachers know the students well and can make specific recommendations to parents about enrichment opportunities. Teachers and the prinicipal are available for 15 minutes on the yard every morning to chat informally with parents and students. Teachers are high-quality, the principal is a warm person and effective leader, and parents are involved in the school in a meaningful way.

Amazing school with caring teachers, smart and compassionate principal, and involved parents. Small class helps tailor curriculum to each child's academic level. One of the best decisions I've made as a parent was to send my son here.

Such wonderful opportunities for leadership and growth. In a time when school budgets are being cut across the state, my child takes art, music, dance, drama, and is learning a second language.

We are a non-Jewish family at Weizmann. Our son is in kindergarten and loves it! We have been pleased with the individual attention given to him within this nurturing and caring environment. The teaching staff is strong and diverse while the student body is unique in that the older kids include and encourage the younger ones. As a parent I also feel empowered, our concerns are heard and that our opinions matter. There have been many unexpected bonuses from our son's attendance at Weizmann including music, dance, art, Hebrew and the afterschool program. We are looking forward to many more years at WDS while experiencing our child's growth.

My children have thrived beyond our expectations at Weizmann, and having two children there helps to illustrate the individualized attention that each student at Weizmann receives. The curriculum is as comprehensive and engaging as at the most elite area schools (art history & art workshops, drama, music appreciation & performance, science, technology, dance), and the student community is warm and friendly. There is socio-economic diversity among the student body, and the widest range of religious practices and beliefs. If you are considering private school in Pasadena, and if you want challenging academics, second-language immersion, and an environment where your child will be known and appreciated, then Weizmann might be the right place for you.

Our son just completed kindergarten, and we've been thrilled with WDS. The curriculum is well-rounded, with an emphasis in the arts and in science that the public schools do not offer. The Hebrew education is a full-immersion language program that we also did not find -- even in elite private schools. Most importantly, the small size allows the teachers to analyze each child individually and respond to his/her academic and social needs. It is a warm, caring place.

My daughter was too young to enter Public Kinger. Weizmann took the time to do an indepth interview of my child, let her spend a day at school, and also got teacher recommendations. They were also very generous with a Full Scholorship for my daughter based on merit and income. Although she was only there for one year, her teacher was amazing.

Wiezmann day school is an amazing private Jewish school that is intimate and creates a wonderful sense of community and individuality. There is a great amount of focus on the arts and because of the small classroom size there is teacher student involvement that you rarely find in school especially in the Pasadena area. I can say from personal experience the years of my life I spent there are filled with memories of personal growth and experiences I doubt I would have known at other school the relationships that I was able to make with my teachers will last in my memories for life. Renaissance school in the sense that it has so many different sides to the curriculum it teaches about Jewish studies culture and you learn the Hebrew language as well all other standard studies. it is an absolutely exceptional school.
