Baldy Mesa Elementary School

I really love BME. My children have been there for 3 years, but recently pulled them out for home schooling. They are going to be changing their text books and there is just a lot of drama at the school since its such a smaller school. I also pulled them out because the class sizes we crazy. My 3rd grader had 42 kids in his class, my 2nd grader had 36 and my ki.derdardner had 33. In my opinion, that is waaaaaay too many children for kne teacher. My kids got no one on one time with the teachers and being a mother or 2 children with ADD/ADHD it.was not beneficial for them. They were loooked at more like a problem than a child woth more needs. I am just kind of disappointed this school year for sure. The staff in the office are rude and have been the whole tome i have been there.

some teachers are bad but ms lovell is the best teacher ever she is helpful go fifth grade

My son has been at this school for 4 years and I have nothing but good things to say. I love how involved Mr Mc Donald (the principal) is. All of my son's teacher's have been great and seem to really care about thier students. The only thing I might agree with from other reports is, the office staff can be a little friendlier.

This school makes my daughter feel as an individual who is important in this world. I feel safe when I drop my daughter at school having the peace of mind that she will be safe and that she can accomplish many goals in her life. I am glad I made the choice to move to this city of Phelan Ca. so I could get her a better education in a school that cares about their students and their well being.

After careful consideration of all schools in the Oak Hills area, we chose BME based on academic scores and great reviews. As an out of district transfer, we are very pleased with the outcome of our decision. Baldy Mesa has exceeded all of our expectations. It is nice to see that there are parents involved at the school that take their children's education as seriously as we do. Parent involvement is a great common demoninator at this school... Kudos to the staff and PTA at BME!

I've had a great experience with this school so far....The year is new....Im Excited to see what they have instore for my child....i've read the reviews, and i do think that the office could be a tad more friendly...and helpful...Thumbs up...phelan resident....

My daughter has been very happy at this school. The principal and vice principal are very involved with the kids. There are a lot of activities for the families and a lot of families get involved. I love the YMCA before and after school program on campus.

I rate this school below average. To look at from the outside it looks like a great school with the principal and vice principal at events.

I believe that this school deserves a 9 out of 10. The teaschers and staff are very excelent. The academic performance in my daughter has been higher then ever before. She really enjoys this school and looks forward to the next dat at school.
