My daughter dealt with various racial insults. We never had to deal with racism till she came here. Not only did she receive hate filled commentary from her peers, she also dealt with prejudice teachers. This school has a race problem, besides that it's an ok school.

I hate this school. There's also a bullying problem. I'd witness bullying at least once a day.

I am Rancho Alumni of 2014. My time at Rancho was awesome. Rancho is unique because it has a self sufficient culture of kindness and prosperity. All the students want their classmates to succeed and are willing to help. The social aspect is great. There are plenty of students who are just looking for friends and anybody new to meet. If your child finds them self in a situation where their friends aren't being so friendly, there are many opportunities to walk away and meet new people. The Academics are the only drawback, while they had (in my years) the best english and history departments in the county.. their math and science departments are sub par to say the least. I am a numbers man myself, and I found it much more difficult to grasp important concepts that I would be using throughout my math career. That is my only issue with this school. All in all, Rancho is a great school with many different opportunities to succeed. Your child will love it there, guaranteed. and if they don't then they aren't trying hard enough.

This school is great in everyday. well disciplined and well mannered students, decent student appearance, so does their teachers and staffs. Students are well engaged in their school activities. School security and police are very visible and helpful in both students and Parents. I will definitely have all my kids finish their high school in here.

My son absolutely loves this school,it's a friendly campus with teachers that seem to truly care about the students,New principal and he is so fun and involved with the kids. I'm in the process of moving and doing everything in my power to insure I can keep my child at Rancho.

This school is good, but still trails in it's API scores and has been second to Los Osos High the past 4 years my son has been in high school. I did not like the environment and took my kids up the street to the new school, Los Osos. My son now attends UC irvine.

Rancho Cucamonga High School is a wreck. Unsafe, racist, poor academics. The principal has lost control.

I have been going to this school since my 2nd Semester of Sophmore year in 2012. So far the school has been very helpful and improves it's system each day. The whole staff is wonderful.

There are a lot of clubs and activities to cover a wide variety of students interests. Excellent school spirit. Administrative Staff is visible daily throughout the campus. The Office Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Counselors truly care about the students. The school has a large student body, but surprisingly the Administrators seem to know most of the students by name and who their friends are. Teachers are hit and miss. Some go above and beyond to reach their students and are amazing. Others appear to be burnt out and have lost focus. They need to re-evaluate why they became educators in the first place. If teachers aren't reaching their students, it's time to try a different approach. Not all students learn in the same way. The school has a great online communication tool so parents/students can track their progress. When asking why all teachers don't post grades and information, I was told it is "not in their contract" so they don't have to. It is frustrating when the school provides this tool and it isn't used. The school offers free tutoring. If you get good teachers, your child will bloom. If you get one of the others, It will be a long year.

Moving to California from the MidWest we really expected more when everyone bragged so much about the schools. The teachers are more focused on careers and administration paychecks. It all looks good and they have everything in place to be the best, but drop the ball when it comes to inspiring students. They would rather crush them to make it look like it is hard than teach them and help them achieve difficult goals. Really miss the MidWest teachers that really care and make high school a prep for college than pretending they are one.

My daughter has attended this school for 3 years now. She takes honors and AP classes and her teachers have been great for the exception of two. For the most part teachers seem to care for the students and will tutor them if needed. I like the diversity in the students and there are also clubs for pretty much anything your child is interested in. If your kid is into sports, they have good athletic programs. Overall I am happy with the quality of education she is getting here. I actually belong to another school district but she likes her school so much that we drive 20 minutes each way. Rancho is a great school with good teachers and staff.

I LOVED RCHS for my son. He made great friends and had wonderful teachers. A few teachers were a bit strange but you find that everywhere. We will miss Mr. Oduro for our younger boys since he left to a new school. He was a great leader and the kids loved him. We feel very lucky to be at RCHS and can feel our kids are in a safe and nurturing public high school. Not an easy thing to find in Southern California!

They have outstanding sports and teachers. The teachers that i had were the best that Rancho had.And i give everyone at Rancho a big hand for another outstanding year. keep up the great work. You stay classy Rancho.

This school is a number 1 rankekd school in the whole entire state from its acedemics, sports, and its outrages SPIRIT. This school is currently neck-to-neck with its rivalry school, Los Osos. They both are fine schools in the whole area but by anyone who lives around here knows that Rancho Cucamonga High School is a much, much better high school for students to attend. In 2010 RCHS had an API score of 817, now with the students and staff committing to this school they saw a 19 point gain in their API score for 2011 which is 836. LOHS had an API score of 840 in 2010, now they had a decrease in their test score which is now 837 in 2011. Rancho Cucamonga High School and Los Osos High School both have the highest API score's in the entire Inland Empire. With the improvement at RCHS there API score is set to fly this upcoming year and pass LOHS's API score. They both are good schools but by anyone in this area, Rancho Cucamonga High School would be the best pick in a school for your student to attend to.

We have only had grief with this school. You have to know to ask for everything. They volunteer zero information. My kids are getting an education, but not without major parental guidance and protection.

I am an alumni of this school and believe that it is an excellent place to learn and develop lasting friendships. The teachers and staff are terrific and are truly devoted to each students success. I am thrilled that Mr. Kern Oduro is the Principal of this school. I was fortunate enough to be in his Natural Science II class. He is an amazing person who has dedicated many years to his students at RCHS and has proven to be an integral figure achieving school's mission.

I have two sons attending Rancho Cucamonga. We are from the south and I can say that my experience at Rancho has been refreshing. They have some of the sweetest, inclusive, tolerant children I have met. The staff is friendly and it feels like a family there. My sons both play football and the team spirit at Rancho is unbelievable. Maybe that is why they are heading to CIF championship!! Thanks Rancho staff and students...well done.

I am a parent of 2 RCHS students, one graduated last year and another in sophomore. My experience with RCHS over-all is great. We met a lady in the school parking lot and we thought she was lost come to find out she was checking out the school. My daughter's response to her was this is the best non-threatening inter-racial school you can send your kid to. Here all the students are encouraged to excel and reach for the highest goal in life no matter what your skin color or race is. Best teachers, good students, friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

I just graduated from RCHS in June and just want to say that being at this school was probably one of the greatest experiences in education so far. The teachers are excellent there and the programs such as band, drama, choir, ROTC, and others are well respected throughout the community.Compared to the other schools in the city, Rancho has the highest diversity rate there.

I work with kids from many of the local high schools - listening to them describe their h.s. experiences - Rancho is always spoken about with pride. My own 3 kids graduated from RCHS after having being very involved and as a parent I was very pleased. The Rancho Admin. strives to give their students a high academic experience as well as a large variety of social & extra curricular experiences. The ASB works very hard to involve all the students on campus to give each student a positive journey thru H.S. Rancho is a wonderfully diverse high school. Many different races co-exist largely without the problems seen at other local high schools - and I credit that to the positive & hard work of the administration. My children truly benefitted by being part of this campus -- Rancho is a Wonderful School!

This school is great. The teachers are awesome and the vibe the school gives off is just... amazing. It's like your high school, it's a real high school unlike many other schools. The only thing is it is really crowded, so if you can handle the crowds, go for it. Rancho's the best place to be!

This school is outstanding! My daughter is a freshman and she is doing a wonderful job. I highly recommend to send your student here rather than Los Osos High School. However, there are way to many students. But if your child can handle that then Rancho is the place to be. -Madison

In many ways, RCHS is an excellent school. They still offer many curriculums that are removed elsewhere such as drama, music, sports. However, the school is getting flooded with students and many teachers are not in-touch as they once were. Communication devices such as weekly progress reports have little effect. On-line information is available only if the teacher supports that resource.

I graduated from RCHS in 2001. My experience at Rancho was positive. The administration is wonderful, and extremely helpful. One specific area where this school outshines the rest is the library media services department. The library resources are outstanding and the library staff is considerate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. It is comforting to know that if a student really wishes to succeed that there are intelligent, helpful people there to assist them.

Rancho Cucamonga High School is a great school. I'm really glad I was actually able to enroll here. I was actually supposed to be going to Alta Loma High School but when I saw the API and how beautiful the school was, I knew I had to go to RCHS. The teachers are great, the staff, the students. Everyone always try to help us students with whatever we need. I love it!

Requests for help for my flunking son have been ignored. The only contact he gets with his counselor is for disciplinary action when other students harass, antagonize and assault him and he stands up for himself. Administration is condescending, uncooperative and unable to keep the students safe. Their idea of parent involvement is to tell parents how they are disciplining their child. They do not want or consider parent input. Despite my sons' poor academic performance I have been unsuccessful in getting the school to help - not even his counselor. They don't care about your child - only their paychecks. Don t believe those average class numbers. My son has 40+ kids in his classes. School your child somewhre else.

I attend Rancho Cucamonga High School, and I can honestly say that I am proud to be graduating with the class of 2004. The principal is highly involved with the students and their lives, the events are hardly ever a disappointment, the options and extracurricular activities are vast, and the teachers have personality, which makes it easier to pay attention, and gives one more enthusiasm to please them by doing homework correctly and on time. I would recommend that everyone go there, but then it'd be more crowded with students than it already is!

My daughter graduated this past June and my oldest daughter graduated in 01. I wish I had more kids going there because it is such a wonderful school. While all schools have their problems, kids and parents that get involved is what's going to make the difference in the child's experience. Rancho offers something for every student that wants to do this with teacher and principal support.

I am a graduate of the class of 1995. Which for those of you that don't know was the 2nd graduating class. So I was there from the beginning. My experience at Rancho Cucamonga was nothing short of stellar. The faculty was extremely knowledgeable, and caring. This school has some of the best teachers I have ever had. Yes when the school first opened its doors we had a kinda rocky start being housed on another school campus and having to share two full student bodies on one school grounds, but we made it thru and once we were on our own I think things just went up from there. I think RCHS cultivates some of the smartest and strongest minds in our state. If I had it to do over agian I would not change a thing.
