Love the school. This is our third school in the Redding area, because we have moved. We will not leave the Redding area. While the other schools were fine, Grant is an exceptional environment. The academics still include the fun stuff... science experiments, theme days, field trips and projects. All three of my kids enjoy going and made friends quickly. I wake them up each morning telling them something fun that is going to happen. Thanks Grant!

The teachers are less than desirable and didn't bother taking time to teach my child, because he was advanced they did not work with him. At my son's new school it is an entirely different story. The school solicited money from the children and families on a weekly basis.

Grant School 'teaches' to the tests. Expect lots of worksheets and standardized testing.

My two children have attended Grant since Kindergarten and we have been extremely pleased with the overall quality of the school, teachers, involvement and the education. Both of my children are excelling at Grant. The teachers make the difference! They really care about the students and it shows! Hugs are freely given there!

My daughter went to preschool at grant in 1999, we moved away and she started K. at another public school, went there until 4th grade. We moved back to redding half way thru her 4th grade and she took the state test, we just rec'd the scores on this test and she did extremely well, advanced in Eglish/language and proficient in math. This was always a big challenge to her at the old school and very stressful. At Grant she breezed thru it. She brought her grades up to A's and B's, even with the trial of the transfer. She said this year she loves school and can't wait to start 5th grade, I've never heard her say that before at the old school. I've very pleased with Grant's academic system, the staff and especially, her attitude.

My son goes to the Preschool. I am so impressed with how caring the teachers and how organized everything is. We really like the phonics program. We will be moving soon and know we will not find another preschool this involved.

I enrolled my children in Grant School with only a couple months of school last year. I was amazed not only by thier eagerness to do thier homework but also by the desire to want to do a good job. The teachers really show an intrest in the children and not just show up because it's their job and they get paid for it. If we were ever to move from this district I would definitly request a district transfer for my children to remain at this school.
