My sons were part of this school before the charter took over in August 2005. It has made a 180 turn for the better! My son LOVES being a part of this academy. He looks forward to going to school every day and is very advanced academically. They've opened up a High-School (August 2009). My oldest is a student there of course, and also loves it. King-Chavez genuinely cares about its students!
The team of teachers who work at King-Chavez Athletics Academy are phenomenal. Each diverse member shares a genuine love with their students, student families and the community as a whole. Their dedication to educating these students not only with a solid traditional education, but also one that also incorporates healthy lifestyle choices and physical education is unlike anything I have seen. I am especially excited to see this Academy grow into one of San Diego's finest schools.
Great School in San Diego. Quality Education! Great Teachers and Staff. School as been turned around by the King/Chavez Charter group.
