My son and daughter have attended Wilson since Kindergarten. My daughter will be a fifth grader next year, while my son will be starting 2nd grade. We love this school. I am so glad that we chose to have our children go to Wilson. They enjoy going to school every day, and are disappointed when they miss a day. The teachers are excellent. They have so much passion and commitment to all the children that attends the school. Wilson has one of the strongest principal in all of SGUSD. Her exemplary leadership skills and commitment to the students has lead to Wilson being recognized as one of the California Distinguished School for 2010. The strength of Wilson s PTA has minimized the impact of the California Budget cuts. I am a proud Wilson parent. Go Wildcats!
My daughter has attended this school since 2nd grade and my boys have begun attending last year. I have to tell you that this is one of the best schools in the country. My kids are all excelling with a grade point average of straight 5's which means that they are exceeding their grade level. The teachers are exceptional and would not trade them for any other school. One of my sons was so hyper that I didn't think that he would ever concentrate less get a passing grade but believe it or not, through the tremendous hard work of the teacher and the curriculum of the school, my son is excelling his grade level. What more can you say? They have spirit awards every month to encourage good behavior and reward them. They boost up kids momentum and these kids are looking to the future in a different glance. They want to be doctors, engineers and teachers. This school is one of the rarest and greatest schools I've ever had the pleasure of sending my kids too. You will not be dissapointed at selecting this school to be one of America's favorite school. Thanks for the consideration.
My son loves Wilson Elementary. He's a 1st grader and loves to read. I thank Wilson for instilling that passion in him. He has read 6 Magic Tree House Chapter books in the last 3 weeks. Nothing makes me prouder than to see him curled up in the corner with a book - and the TV is off! The Options Onsite is the best I've seen, very caring safe environment.
Good School! Great Teacher! Nice environment and Kids enjoy their activities.
Excellent quiet location, love the after-school programs for kids including Chess Club, Acting, Cheer. Options Surround Care is on campus and has the best staff in the San Gabriel Valley. This school is definitely a hidden gem.
Wonderful school with inclusion programs. Also makes education for students rewarding by having spirit week and the enthusiam of the teachers.
This is the best school! I couldn't believe that my daughter feels comfortable in a day with this school. Teachers are very professional but yet very friendly. I'm glad that my daughter is enrolled in this school. Good job Wilson!
Highly dedicated and experienced staff. Both of my children attended Wilson and we were quite pleased with the experience.
Academic Programs: Challenging curriculum. Experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic teachers. Teacher turnover rate is low. Extracurricular, music, art, and sports: Very good after-school sports program funded through City of San Gabriel. Fourth graders are taught Recorder and Fifth graders choose from variety of instruments (violin, flute, horn, etc.). Each year a Founder's Day music program and Christmas music program are presented by all grades. Great computer instructor and lab. Excellent art teacher. Nice small library with librarian. PTA funds many enrichment assemblies, activities, and field trips each year. Parents / Teachers: Very active PTA. Many parents volunteer time for classroom and PTA activities. Teachers welcome parent participation and communication. Principal is ever-present and knows each child by name.
