At Summit San Jose, mastering proficiency in all subjects is required and achieved! Plus, college planning, AP courses for all students, individual mentoring, self-directed learning, innovative math program updated for the 21st century, lots of opportunities for students to practice leadership, small classes, dynamic and dedicated teachers, and a wonderful, supportive parent volunteer organization. My son loves it here.

I could not be happier with my decision to send my son to Summit. The support that the students get is incredible. I know if he went to the regular public school in our neighborhood, that he would have been "lost in the shuffle", but instead he is getting complements from teachers for being a leader and self advocate - things his middle school teachers said he lacked. He dreaded going to school before, now he looks forward to school every day!

The Summit Schools cannot be beat. The schools have the best teachers and 99% of which have their Masters from Stanford. The students are assigned mentors which guide them and meet with the students almost daily for their entire 4 years. The school has a mission statement that all of the students will be able to attend a CA university by they time the graduate Summit. They have zero tolerance for fighting and drugs or any type of abuse and intimidation. I have two daughters attending this school and I think it is on of the best choices for East Side San Jose.

My son is attending this school from 9th grade. Our neighborhood school is A+ public school. But we have sent him to Summit because of their program, small size classes and attention. Teachers are very approachable, responsive and really care about students. Parents and teachers work together to help their student. My son is playing sports and starting clubs with lot of support. Initially we had concerns about moving him from our neighborhood school, but after seeing the progress in his performance ( compared to middle school), we are so far happy with our decision.

My 2 kids have gone to highly ranked public schools (one K-12, the other K-8) but Summit is the best. It's like taking all the very best teachers from their previous schools and putting them in one school. In addition, the students are getting a lot of the extras that private school students get.... but without the tuition. Love it!
