Farnham is a great school because of a strong staff and the Home and School Club working with each other to motivate the students. My kids are happy with their teachers and the different activities that the PTA organize so well.

Farnham has a great principal Mr. Moore that began in school year 2009-2010 which is a hard job to follow after having Mr. Hayes as our principal prior to that. We put on a great walkathon fundraiser in the spring like no other school. The teachers are very involved and dedicated to the students and many of the teachers have their kids attend the school. We have MANY afterschool program vendors to come to our school as well. We have great music program (teacher shared with Sartorette) as well as Art Vistas program and we have RTI (response to intervention, known as Power groups) at our school. Our CST scores may not be as high as the other Cambrian schools but I think we also have a higher number of ESD students/non English speaking families.

We have a 2nd grader at Farnham. This is our second year there and we are very excited about the years to come and for our younger daughter to enter as a kindergartener. The principal, Mr. Hayes is absolutely wonderful in everyway. I love that he starts every morning with an assembly to get the kids excited! He is such a great 'coach' to the kids as well as his staff. Although the 3 other school in Cambrian district scores higher on API, I think the dedicated teachers in Farnham and the parents' involvement totally makes up for it (not that other schools' teachers aren't dedicated...) Overall, it is a great learning environment for the kids. Falcon Pride lives in Farnham everyday!

This is our first year at farnham and I have been very happy with the level of parent involvement at the school. My child is happy and is challenged in her class due to the level of care & time the teacher puts in with each of the student in class. They have a wonderful music teacher and every class gets to have music as part of their curriculum. There is a high level of community spirit at this school and I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for a school where their involvement in their child(ren)'s education is welcomed by school staff and other parents alike.

We love Farnham. Of course, no school is perfect, but if issues are raised, the administration and teachers at Farnham are very responsive. We have a 3rd grader currently attending, and have appreciated the efforts of every teacher she's had so far. Principal Hayes started in Fall of '06, and he is great! He has so much energy, terrific ideas, and really seems to enjoy kids. And from what I hear, the teachers are very happy with him too, which says alot. We actually live in Union District now, and could be sending our children to Noddin or Alta Vista. But while they have higher overall scores and a 'higher end' demographic than Farnham, we are so happy with Farnham that we are keeping our 3rd grader there, and may keep our second child in the Farnham Family via the charter program.

This was our first year at Farnham and I was extremely disappointed with the standards. My daughter was previously in a different school district, and when we moved here a year ago, we had to go to our home school. I feel this year was similar to what she learned in first grade and she was not challenged. My daughter is an average students but the work was too easy. I had to do most of my teaching at home with her.
