Bret Harte was great for my two oldest children. You see, if you are "normal" you are welcomed, appreciated, care for, and supported. However, it was hell for my high functioning autistic son. He was handcuffed by the police in campus, that were not informed my son is autistic, for refusing to sign a Vandalism citation he received for verily visible writing his nick name ADRX on the cement side walk with a little sedimentary rock he found on the ground, as others students were doing. He was placed in the emotionally disturb class, even as he IS NOT emotionally disturb, and has never had that diagnosis from ANYONE! The principal Mrs. Cindy Mijaila, was heard by me on the phone at the district office saying "I just want him out of here." So my beautiful, intelligent baby was bullied in that class, and neither the school nor the school district provided the special need services he was promised on his IEP. He calls Bret Harte "Break my heart." So if you are normal, and fit the normalcy profile, and you do not have a disability, you are welcomed, but if your child has a disability stay away, the school district negligence, will truly break your heart.
