Mark Corti is really there for the kids development. If you have an issue Mark Corti has a total open door policy. He will listen and do his best to give you the right advise. His staff counselors and teachers are really there to help your children. Mrs. Debose and Mrs. Saiti counselor/math teacher are right there with Mark to support your children and you as a parent. We have the most well-rounded school. We are so diverse that every individual has a story to share at this school. We are a motivated group of grizzlies who excel in every aspect of success.
California High keeps the parents in the loop while still allow the students to grow and become self assured by helping them to make the correct decisions as the move forward throughout the school year.
California High School and it's staff members encourage all students to get the best education possible, and care about their health & well-being.
This school has a great learning atmosphere and this is the most welcomi g high school that I have attended four different high schools!
Students seeking ways to develop and express their musical talents will be richly rewarded at Cal High. Ms. Lucerne Mottaz is the Music Instructor, providing consistently challenging, enriching and thoroughly entertaining programs over the years in Jazz, Concert, Chamber and Madrigal Choir, along with Music Theory. Students look forward to her classes, that annually include chorale performance field trips out of state (Boston, Chicago, New York, or Montreal, for example), as well as Winter performances (combining music, dance and drama) and performance engagement at Disneyland's California Adventure stage. Parents and students love to attend the annual, year end Pops Concert in early June. Through the music program, our daughter has also cultivated the friendships of so many talented students. Thanks Ms. Mottaz, Cal High music students and administration for providing us with 3 wonderful, memorable years (and counting) for our daughter!
Cnisder it a larger school than average, but teacher /student ratio good. electives quite good and broad. Core subjects standard but quality teachers make scoring higher than average.
this school is really an ideal place to provide a learning environment for any child.i highly reccommend it.
Most teachers at Cal are passionate about their subject and are able to instill the desire for excellence among their students. As an example, when my son's English essay was corrected, the teacher had included comments/feedback about style and content. The comments were marked on the assignment and the suggestions were typed seperately and stapled to the essay. My son was 'shocked' to see this level of detail. I am so glad we moved here.
