This school is a great and so are the teachers and staff! The only thing is that there is a lot of pressure with meeting AR goals. They recommend having your child read 1/2 an hour a night which I totally agree with. The catch is if a child wants to meet his AR goal and not get detention for that week the child needs to read an 1 1/2 or more. My son is in 6th grade and reads chapter books which usually are 200 pages or more. My son reads 1 1/2 hour on weekdays and about two hours or more on weekends. I think my child have lost the love of books and has lost a lot of child hood memories. He does not watch TV, play with friends, nor spend time with the family for he is either finishing up his homework or reading his book on weekdays.
