Schs is providing a rigorous academic program in a safe and supportive environment. The students are well-known by the faculty, who themselves are intelligent and attuned to teaching and trends in education. The quality of relationships between the students and staff is a sign of respect and integrity. I can't imagine a more exciting place to be a student, and I am very grateful for the education for my self and my freshmen brother.

Schs is an excellent school. Don't be drawn into the hoopla of the Fremont Union's High Schools with high test scores and such. A kid can go be successful anywhere. This school is a fun school. Teachers are excellent! Sports are great! There is a diversity of students. No majorities, everyone is special. Academically it is pretty good. There are great teachers and plenty of activities for the students. Like any school, you won't find out how good it is unless you take the time to get involved. A student can get a top notch education, but they have to want it. My kids were able to go on to do very well in college and thought their senior year at Schs was more difficult than their first year of college because they took the top level of classes at Schs. This was their choice alone. The amount of parent involvement is not as high as could be, but that is a large part of the social economics of the families, not the school's problem.

Im really happy here. Teachers can't be more amazing than they really are with their will to help. Students are friendly and helpful. Education here is actually teaching me something!!!

Im a sophomore here and omg I love this school. I've been to its rival school last year, aka Wilcox, and this school honestly gives way more education than Wilcox. Also the teachers here are so helpful. I also like this school better because there isn't a lot of smokers and potheads compared to Wilcox.

I am really happy with my child here with his education. I had another child at this school 3 years ago when this hs wasn't that good. But now looking at my child this year, this school got way better and there is rarely any bad things that happen. The education and teachers got way better over the years.

My son goes to this school as a Junior for his first year at schs. He went to a private hs in Freemont. Our relationship wasn't going very well because of school. I decided to up this relationship and send him to a public hs to see if I could rely on his trust. I was amazed by his performance at this school and what the school provided him. Since his first day at schs, he became more social and his relationship with me became absolutely better. Now we talk about anything as if everything is normal. SCHS also provided with tons of support from tutoring classes to extracurricular classes after school. I'm very happy with school regarding the reviews this school got 3 years ago.

IM in a student in 10th grade and SCHS has improved a lot in the past 2 years. During last year and this year, this school provided me excellent classes that I excelled in and the teachers here are awesome and helpful. I honeslty never knew it would be this good. I thought its rating might make it bad, but it honestly depends on you. Every school has bad people and good people. Who you choose to hangout with is what reflects your future. So far I think this school is going to give me a great education to get into Harvard. Don't let its rating fool you. I've been in this school and there is suprisingly few people, barely any that do bad thing and this school is gang free.

This school was not the best in my opinion because the teachers have favorites and they only cared for the "popular students" when i was graduating from this school the only teachers that cared for their students were just a few maybe five or seven that's' all because they wanted us to go to good colleges and i felt unsafe their too because how the other students would threaten others with violence. I would recommend a different school that does care and for the safety of the students.

Ive noticed a lot of terrible reviews about our school from a few years back. i usually dont write reviews but couldnt help but atleast attempt to redeem Santa Claras good name. This is by far the best school i have ever been to. The teachers are understanding and friendly. They provide a safe learning enviornment and make it easy to talk to them even outside of school. Yes, we do have a lot of extended lunches but they are usually to support clubs and promote sports events. I have never been surrounded by such a positive staff and people that ACTUALLY CARE. There are tons of fun and yes educational events the school puts up for the students. It makes learning so much easier. I'm currently in Honors english as a freshman and although i was petrified at first, i have learned so much and its only been 6 months! The teachers make learning fun and not just about sitting down and being bored to death all day. They often incorporate lesson with hands on activites. Because of Santa clara i am thrilled to know that i would like to remain on the Honors path and take multiple AP classes the following years. I dont think i would have aquired the same mind set from any other school.

The new vice principal vela came from north monterey county high school last year as principal and their scores dropped 35 points on the cst. When the school hires administrators who obviously are inept, it's time to do a clean sweep of district leadership, starting with the board and superintendent.

We moved here just after the 2012 school year had started. My son had a medical issue that required special assistance from teachers and staff. All went above and beyond to help him succeed. So thankful for their insight, assistance and flexibility. Looking forward to this year. Highly recommend Santa Clara High!

Notice how all the good reviews are from 4 YEARS AGO??? This school has turned into a dump. Nothing good about it. Teachers aren't good, other staff isn't good, students aren't good. This is the worst school in California! If you love your kids and value their education, DON'T SEND THEM HERE.

Most teachers here teach poorly, the student body has no control, neither does the staff. This school does not offer IB programs and they require taking a summer class as a prerequsite to any AP class you wish to take. I moved here 3 days before school began and I could not get into any classes I wanted to take. This school is always taking away time for education and replacing it with extended lunches to promote way too clubs that don't do anything anyway. This is, out of the ten schools I've been to, the worst.

SCHS has provided incredible amount of support to my daughter. Her academics and her outside athletics requirements are being met with professionalism and concern that we are lucky to have.

Santa Clara High's a great school. Most teachers are really nice and spend time to get to know their students. There is rarely any fights, and the enviorment is nice and safe. There are many electives to pick from, and opportunities for students to join after-school sports. On campus, once in a while there are fun activities for students to participate in such as rallies, and teachers vs. students sport games.

I think that Wilcox is a great school, maybe its because i go there but lso because of the nice and wonderful staff. I also think that the lunch they servr is terrific: salad, cheesesand which, fresh warm pizza, and nice hot mouth-watering spicey-chicken sandwhich. The whole school is curently being remodeld. There are no fights going on the campus, i feel really safe there. Even the security gaurds are nice, unlike the ones you see in the movies, haha, little joke. And also, the security get to know each student because they help in after-school extracurricular activities. They are almost close to being division champs and maybe/hopefuly becoming champions. I actually think of it as my second home, if I could I would even sleep in the hallways at night, haha, another little joke. But that is how safe I feel there.

Some of the teachers are good, some act like they don't particularly care. The honors and AP classes aren't too challenging. The physical education program is in shambles.

They have just remodeled the school, and it looks great! The academics might not be the very best, but it's a good school!

The school takes great pride in having tops in the STAR testing (top 5 in California). Its sports are OK the football team is above average at best, the Baseball team s great. the basketball team had its time amd the soccer team was on a roll before coming to a halt near the end of the season. While Wilcox may brag about their great team in football Santa Clara takes just as much pride in sports as does in academics.

My daughter Janelle went to Santa Clara high school. She graduated last year, and is now attending Sac State. She was originally going to go to Archbishop Mitty High School, or Cupertino High School. Realizing that those two schools were not for her, she decided to go to Santa Clara. I remember hearing her say numerous times that she loved Santa Clara, and that she made the right decision on coming to Santa Clara. Santa Clara High School has helped my daughter mature into a wonderful young woman.
