Keywords: peaceful, safe, loving, old fashioned, one on one learning. The next best thing to homeschooling! St Michael's is a school that allowed my children to truly learn the foundations of math, history and science without rushing because they needed to finish a textbook by the end of the year. My two older children have gone on to Cardinal Newman and Ursuline high school and have very high GPA's. Honors math and science classes have been easy for them because of the great teaching they received at St Michael's School. Because of the small size, a full P.E. class or sports program is not offered. This area needs to be filled outside of the school.

I have 3 children who attend St. Michael's. Their ages are 6,8 and 10. The quality of education far surpasses any that I have researched or experienced. The children are treated with respect and taught to respect others. They are inspired to learn and cannot wait to go to school everyday. Their academic lessons incorporate art, music, poetry, and physical movement so that what they learn is embedded in their very being. The teachers are very experienced (30 years) and extremely dedicated. Because of the small student/teacher ratio, each child is allowed to grow and learn without the pressure of a pacing guide so often found in public schools. Parents are involved in extra curricular activites and field trips. The atmosphere is like home schooling where children of different ages (K-8th)cooperate with and depend on eachother. It's like a secret jewel in Roseland. I feel so lucky to have found it!

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
