I went to this school when I was younger and so did my brother, cousins, and plenty of friends. Back then the school was one of the best. We actually had teachers that really cared about the students. They actually listened to the kids and tried to solve problems with them. Today I don't feel the same way about the school, my child goes there and things are a lot different. No one to really turn to for advice, that will actually listen and take you seriously. A lot of favoritism to me, not really taking the time to get to the root of the problem rather then pushing a family out of the school.

Great school. I attended in 7th grade and am currently i 8th there. The teachers are great the atmosphere is warm and not much gang violence. If you are choosing between middle schools in santa rosa you have got to pick srms. Cook middle school is academically struggling and has quite a bit of gang violence. And all the other schools in santa rosa are about the same. If you still can't decide which school to enroll your child in please pick this one. You won't regret it.

My son is in 7th grade at SR Middle School. He is our 3rd child to attend the school. The academics are very challenging in the advanced courses and he has made many new friends. It is a little smaller than the other public middle schools and the atmosphere is very friendly. If you want to compete in athletics, you can. You don't have to be the best of the best. Even though it is located downtown, safety of the students is a top priority. I highly recommend this school!

SRMS is great! Its really fun. I feel safe there, and they have great activities there! They've recently been working on new paint jobs at our school, and its turning out great! Its a really fun friendly school, and soon it will look better than ever!
