Over all the school is great. In particular the teachers are enthusiastic about teaching and create a great environment for the students. The support staff are wonderful and hopefully the principal would be more supportive of teachers, parents and staff. The parent involvement is great. There are numerous groups of parents involved in various activities raising funds for the students in a variety of ways. Many of the parents are involved in movie nights, book fairs and in helping in the classrooms. It is great to see so much involvement and that is why the test scores keep inching up each year.
I wish there was more parent involvement. Even when we, parents work a 8 or more hours per day shift we need to find the time to participate in school. Our children would benefit in so many ways we'd all be surprised. Come on parents there is always ways to help out! Our children will see our interest and they will be interested too!
The staff of Frank Ledesma School contains some of the best. Students are learning and teachers are involved. The principal, however, lacks involvement in anything that has to do with the students or their achievements. The students have lost out! Much strength to the new principal
Frank Ledesma is an outstanding school. The Admisnitration and teachers are some of the most dedictaed people to the well being and intellectual growth of the studenst that attend.
FL school is one of the best schools my daughter attended. Speciallly the 6th grade teachers were excellent!
There needs to be an involved principal. No PTA formed so far this year in three months of school.
Although I appreciate the quality of education by the teachers, it bothers me that parent involvement in the school is limited. The focus in increasing scores takes away from the focus of providing children not just a place of learning but a place in which to develop their social skills via extracurricular activities. It also takes away from the opportunity for parents to be active agents in their child's education. Administration must balance the focus on increasing scores with the social development of the child and the overall involvement of families.
