Our child has been a student at St Francis for a year and a half. Her current experience has been extraordinary. She came from an environment which was not as supportive as it might have been. On her first day at St Francis, she was called up front of the entire student body by the principal and introduced. The students were requested to welcome her and they did. Her social support has be incredible and she has thrived. Academically, her support has been equally impressive. The school is particularly fine in that it works on the child from within, establishing a moral compass which will be a lifetime gift and which infuses the student body and the manner in which the students interact with each other and the faculty. It is a family and an admirable one at that.

My family loves St. Francis. My three children count St. Francis as their second home and part of our extended family. The campus is safe, the teachers and faculty are all professional and give so much to the school. The parent volunteers are equally as giving of their time and their level of commitment is outstanding. Everyone works really hard to make St. Francis a great school for our kids. My oldest daughter, who is now a freshman, scored in the 90th percentile of 9th graders in the country. To me, this a testament to the school and all the skills she acquired as a student at St. Francis Solano. Also, as a parent, I have met some of my closest friends at St. Francis. Families who will be forever friends to me and my family.

St Francis provides my children with the best overall quality eduacation in a superior academic, spiritual and social environment. St. Francis has a proven track record of challenging its students in the classroom as well as providing them with opportunities outside the classroom and beyond the town of Sonoma in sports programs, science fairs, art/writing competitions, geography bees, spelling bees, Academic Decathlon, etc. Students who have graduated from St. Francis have gone on to the local high school as well as Marin Academy, Cardinal Newman/Ursuline High School, Justin Siena High School, and Sonoma Academy. These students have gone on to excel at colleges, including Stanford, West Point, and many of the UCs. St. Francis provides a nurturing environment to all its students and my children would not dream of going anywhere else!

I went to St. Francis and I strongly believe I received the best academic education available in Sonoma. I could not have been better prepared for high school and college. I remember loving each of my teachers, and I always felt loved and supported by them. Now I am married and have two little ones and can look at the school from a different viewpoint. Not only do children love going there, but the teachers are dedicated and have excellent educational backgrounds. While my husband is not Catholic, he also agrees that there is no question where our children will be attending school in the near future.

I have been a part of St. Francis Solano School for the last 29 years, and I love it! I entered St. Francis Solano School as a first grader, and I can honestly say that St. Francis gave me the educational foundation to be a very successful student both at Justin-Siena High School and at Dominican University. My prayers were answered when I was hired at St. Francis fresh out of college. As a teacher, I am blessed to work with such dedicated administration and colleagues. We have a strong and challenging academic program in an atmosphere rich in Roman Catholic values. All students have opportunities to take Music, Computer, Spanish, and PE on top of core curricula based on the California State Standards. My three children have learned moral values and strong study skills at St. Francis. This is the school for your child. --Michelle Momsen, alumnus, teacher, parent

As a SFSS parent, I am very thankful that my child receives the challenges that a student should have. She is given respect, and encouragement. Positive enforcement that helps her gain self esteem a child can ever have. The child walk very proud. The staff are unbelievable. They look at my child as a person not just a number. That means a lot to me because it shows they care. My child has a choice to go to another school and her comment to me is ' Mom this is my family right here at St Francis I don't want to go anywhere else.' Saying that out of the mouths of babes. I am very active in the school volunteering in whatever is needed and I love it. I wouldn't change it for nothing. Thank you for giving us this chance to share. Yours truly a very proud parent of St Francis Solano

We love St. Francis Solano School. We transferred after three years at a local Public Elementary school. No longer does my daughter come home after school with stomach aches. The staff is communicative, dedicated and involved with parents and students. Academically my daughter is excelling, and is finally challenged by her studies. I am awed by the after school sports program. The children are taught the importance of being a member of a team, sportsmanship and they have fun. The parents group is awesome with involved and dedicated parents. We made the right choice when we transferred to St. Francis.

We have been at St. Francis Solano for 5 1/2 years and can't be happier. The teachers are absolutely fabulous...they are all unique and different...two of the male faculty play basketball in the mornings with the students before school - that is the camaraderie I love. Not only does the school teach respect and love, it shows it to all...our kids come home and we have the most amazing philosophical questions provoked by their learing in school...this school practices what it preaches and has a Peace and Justice elective for the older kids - they pick where they want to help out and do fundraisers giving money to such areas as curing AIDS, etc.. The kids are safe, have fantastic sports programs as part of the Catholic School Diocese, learn peace, love and understanding - all in all a great experience!

I have been a part of St. Francis Solano School as a young child and student. I only have the finest memories and knew someday I would have children and have them attend this great school. I do have three children now. Two whom have graduated from St. Francis and another attending now. I still after 35 years of involvement as a child and as a parent have the greatest feeling about the education and security my entire family feels because of what we received from St. Francis. My children received the best education that could get in Sonoma. The school enhances family values and importance of education. I feel we have a great group of parents working together and wonderful friendships we all have retained for life. I am truly blessed to give my children the best.

I have been very pleased with the quality of education my two children have had at St. Francis. The teachers are outstanding and the family community is very active and supportive of the students, curriculum and total environment at the school. The school supports and encourages parent participation in the classroom and in fund raising for the 'extras' every school wants to supply to their students. We have been very successful for many years providing the 'extras'. My son is graduating from St. Francis is year. However, I look forward to the next five years that my younger daughter will be attending. This school is a very good fit for us. We were looking for a high quality of education for our children in an environment of support and moral values. This was the school for us.
