My child just recently transferred there and already it seems like they're being singled out by the teacher. My child it seems is too dependent and not mature enough for their liking. My kid has just got there and doesn't really know any of the other kids yet, of course they'll be looking to the teacher for some sort companionship and last I heard it was 2nd grade. It hasn't even been a full month yet and the teacher's already talking about holding them back. My kid likes it there but gee wiz. Let the kid make the adjustment to the new school before you fully evaluate them.

Palo Verde is a school unlike any other. Students are able to experience the old time feel of what school should be... free, fun, and educational... keep up the great work. The board and administration are great because they place the kids at the top of the priority list.

Palo Verde School is by far one of the BEST schools in the county. The administration places student needs FIRST...kids always come first at Palo Verde. The teachers, with the exceptation of a few, are great. They love what they do and it shows in their students. I am proud to be a parent at Palo Verde and proud that so many care deeply about what is best for my children's education.

I am a parent at this school, I feel the teaching staff works hard to keep our kids testing well. We have some GREAT teachers and then those that should leave because they are just not happy. The administration is vert unorganized. The principal needs to make sure all children are getting the help they need not just the EL kids. It is sad to think that if your a parent that is willing to help your child that the school stops helping because they fiqure they get help at home. School is where children go to learn and I wish Palo verde would start making sure that happens with everyone not just EL kids. We are considering moving our kids and I knowa lot of parents are doing the same for the 09-10 school year. It is sad because the school has some good teachers.

We just recently pulled our kids due to the lack of respect the administration has for parents with concerns with teachers. We had gone to the school many times trying to get problems settled and nothing ever gets taken care of, your told it'll be handled but it never is. Our kids would just about cry when we'd take them to school and come home telling us how stupid they were. We got them out before it got worse!

Our experience started out great, we had several good years, the teachers were great to work with always speaking to you, the administration always greeted you and knew who you were the minute you were on campus. Then the administration changed and from there on it was downhill, you could feel the morale at the school was low, the teachers always seemed miserable, the so called leaders of the school barely spoke to you when you were on campus, you couldnt get them to handle anything, they always gave you the run-around, telling you what you wanted to hear then they would tell the teacher the complete opposite, and nothing would be solved. We ended up having to remove our 9 yr old out of the school before his spirit was crushed anymore by the lack of leadership in the school. I feel most of the school is suffering.

Things have been getting better at Palo Verde. The longer my kids are at that school the better things seem to be. The office staff and teachers treat you like a friend not just a parent. And Yes they do have some good extra cirriculars. The problems of a few years ago seem less today. Honestly we have had problems there but I don't think I or my kids would want to go anywhere else.

My children have only been at Palo Verde a short time and they do enjoy going to this school. The opportunities for children to excel at this school is not over looked at all. With a parent staying involved and keeping good communication with their children's teachers and staff Palo Verde does offer plenty of tutoring and extra help with every child that does need help. My own children have benefited from the extra help and encouragement. The extra activities here are great and the children do seem to enjoy all of them. Lets not forget that Palo Verde did two years ago get the highest in state testing scores and that is phenomenal for our little country school. Our P.T.O. has tried to accomodate our working parents and have taken suggestions to get parent envolvement higher in all of our functions. It is time for ALL our parents to get involved for the CHILDRENS SAKE. They will only be here for a brief period in their lives lets together make this the best possible learning experience for them ALL.

This is a terrific school if your child performs well. If your child has problems, behavioral and/or accedemic they are basicaly looked over shoved aside and ignored. There are some teachers at this school that go beyond the job requirements to help a child. But there are those teachers and administrators who just shove the kid into the next grade just to get rid of them. This is my experience.
