FANTASTIC SCHOOL. I am involved in the PTO and so I know what is going on behind the scenes at this school. AWESOME staff, faculty and I love the Principle and VP's. Wonderful men and very caring of the school. Want a good picture of THS? Read the real ratings. World News & Report. See also the National Standing. AP score goes up every year. We even have people that thought they were getting a better education by going to the "other" school. Now they are coming back. Hewes and FHS aren't going anywhere, neither will your children.
I'm a Tustin High graduate. I'm counteracting a rating by a FHS fan who is simply continuing the longstanding cross town rivalry. My kids went to FHS. I was not impressed. GO THS!
I don't know where you all get your information but Tustin is a horrible school - I am so thankful to have my kids at Foothill. Stay away from Tustin High.
Tustin High is a fantastic school that deserves a higher rating than GreatSchools.org has given it. Certainly, its test scores may not be comparable to Foothill's, but I can attest to the fantastic faculty, safe campus, and strong community that Tustin has to offer. Tustin High does a great job of providing resources for diverse learners. For overachievers, THS has the most number of AP classes in the TUSD. For those who are struggling, THS has a wonderful support system for after-school help, led by both student groups as well as faculty. As a former student, I would not be at an Ivy League university today had it not been for Tustin High. If I were to repeat my high school experience, I would not go anywhere else.
I am a student at THS and i agree that it is a safe school and i appreciate how the teachers and students interact together,
As a teacher, I'm particularly impressed by the number of academic and social opportunities for students at every ability level. The teachers, students and administrators are extremely friendly and collaborate well. Our honors and advanced placement programs are inclusive and excellent, which may be why we are the highest ranked high school in Tustin according to the Newsweek.
THS is a very safe school, I can say that as an alumni.THS has excellent administrators, faculty and security personnel to handle these issues. You are as safe at THS as you are in any other school.
THS loooks like a safe campus, but in reality it is not, yes the classes and all that are great, but I beleive parents should be aware of what is happening on this campus.
The school is rather good. There is a mixed diversity of ethnicity. Crime is low and that is great.
THS is an excellent high school. The faculty and administration provide a positive and safe environment for all students to succeed. THS academic programs and extra curricular activities are outstanding. Both my sons have gotten a great education as a result of this. I must point out that the AVID program is excellent and has surpassed my expectations. They help the average student succeed in high school and prepare them for college and beyond. The Athletics program is outstanding and well balanced. They even provide tutoring for those athletics that are in need. I believe that athletics are very important in the life of all high school students. It provides for a place in the general school population for every student. My son enjoys everyday at school because of the environment you help provide. A big thanks to everyone at THS and congratulations to Dr. Lewanski!
