Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

St. Jeanne de Lestonnac is amazing. The class sizes are small; the curriculum is well-rounded and really deals with subjects in-depth as opposed to glossing over them just to check off a standard; the students are remarkably respectful of adults and their peers; the school is really a supportive community of people. We looked at a lot of schools and our daughter attended a "top-rated" public school for a few years before coming to St. Jeanne, and I am so grateful that we decided to enroll our children here.

The class sizes at SJDL are so much better than at the local middle schools. The school really does focus on creating well-rounded individuals and developing character. The iPAD initiative is great and the students love using technology.

Overal quality at St. Jeanne in terms of academics, campus, teachers and students is excellent.

We are a new family to SJDL this year and while the academics are not super strong, we love everything else the school has to offer. The reason why we moved from public school was to have smaller class sizes, a second language, music and art on a regular basis - and to focus on the whole child, and not just on academics.

Our child switch from public to St. Jeanne for the religion classes and academics, because on paper the academics core look great. While the religion aspect was good, the academics were not. My child experience a lot of kids behind grade level and core class moved slow. My child said throughout the day children were disruptive in the classroom and my child said teachers were angry a lot due to bad behaving kids. We were surprised, how much we were paying a year in tuition, it was not worth the headache. It is a beautiful campus and we were drawn into it. We left after a year due to academics being behind. Once we told them we were leaving they went from being kind to not very friendly. And they do not want to hear our opinion because we were new. We saw a lot of blind eyes to kids that were there for years, even though they behave badly. We did not experience what the other reviews wrote. I saw a lot of emotionally behind grade level children, and competitive parents. I am short and I volunteered a lot. Teachers forgot I was there and I heard what my child was talking about first hand.

This is the best school that my son attending. He is in 3rd grade and doing well. I live in Tustin close to 5 freeway so public school is not great. I don't have a lot of money and I try to work hard so I can pay for his tution. We take it year by year and it has been almost 3 years gone by. We have another 5 years to go. I like the reading program that St. Jeanne offers. It makes the kids read, read and read all weekends.

I attended St. Jeanne's, and returned to the school with my own children. Now in another state, at another school, I can say with conviction that St. Jeanne's is the best school - scholastically, socially, and emotionally - that a child could ever attend. For parents, there is nothing like St Jeanne's. the spirit of family is unmatched by other schools. Academically, my oldest daughter is in high school and is taking Pre-AP geometry her freshman year (She is in all Pre-AP classes - including Spanish II). She is light years ahead of her freshman & sophomore classmate. Mrs.Nagel is an exceptional math teacher. Thank you to St. Jeanne's for all that our nuns, teachers, and administrators have given us over the years. I - and my children - are far better because of this school. Oh, and Sr. Belin and Sr. Carmen make the best school lunches in the world!

We have two daughters at St Jeanne's and cannot say enough about the quality of education they are getting. Every teacher we have encountered is top-notch. The Catholic Community of St Jeanne's is outstanding. Worth every penny.

This school offers more than just a great education. It offers security and a religious foundation. The students that come out of this school are respectful, confident, and have wonderful life skills. It has a solid education program. The middle school has made many changes and has a solid educational program especially in science, religion and math. Most students end up doing very well in high school because of the strict discipline and homework implemented at the school. The tuition is well worth it and my children are wonderful students.

Anyone who complains about the tuition, discipline etc. should look for another school. Public schools don't compare with the quality and wonderful atmosphere you get at St. Jeanne's. The teacher/student ratio is wonderful. We can talk with the teachers on a daily basis, if we have any concerns regarding our childrens progress. It is the best school.

Hi--I am the music teacher at St. Jeannes. The community here is amazing! Very close friendships, and the students are constantly challenged to be thier best in every aspect of life--acedemically, in sports, the arts, and spiritually. We have the most supportive administration and they're 'hands on' with each child! No one slips though the cracks. Come visit and take the tour!

Questionable education value for the money. Administrators seem intent on maintaining the status quo despite obvious problems. Many parents ultimately wind up withdrawing kids and sending them to public school.

This school only good for kids in elementary. On higher level they don't have qualified teachers to teach up to date materials or to meet state standards. It's an ashame since they raised so much money every year and did not invest in the fundamental academic basics for the future of the school reputation and for the sake of the students. The math teacher is usually substituted or aided by the principal who is not specialized on the subject. If they listened and called out for help things could have changed to make them become a good choice for a middle school.

This school has many positive elements, but parents should be warned: for many years, a math program has been in place that has been the subject of parental outcry and ridicule, and the administration of school has turned its back on the tuition payers time and time again.

This school is so petty when it comes to discipline. They have this 'firm' belief that they are molding our kids into fine, respectable young adults but they are instead giving them a dislike for authority. Now I am a strong believer in discipline, but what they get children in trouble for is just so stupid. For instance, the students must wear 'normal' length socks but then fold them over so it looks like that of a little girl's. And if they are caught without just one unrolled they get a detention. And with our tuition money that we (the parents) pay and fund raiser money that we raise, the money just goes to the nuns' convents and the new school in Temecula. When confronted with this they embarrasingly shy away. They pay the teachers very little as well so naturally, the quality of teachers is very poor.

As far as tuition for private schools is concerned, this school is worth every penny. The academics and discipline are excellent.
