My son is in his second year at this school. There is no "violence" and I feel that my son is very safe at Green Acres. He has had great teachers both years and the school has a wonderful music and drama department. Go Chargers!

We are very happy to have our son attend Green Acres Middle School. At first we were a little concerned about the surrounding neighborhood, but we have found it to be a very safe and wonderful education for our son. We love the automated phone system that tells you if your student is missing homework or even if they are doing a great job in school. The communication is very good and they resolved a conflict issue we had as well. The teachers are very caring and the music department is excellent!

Unfortunately the only recent review is a negative one from a parent that has no idea what is going on. My child attended Green Acres and I was very happy at the low number of incidences that occurred on campus. My child was happy about all of the activities that the school provided for them and how much staff cared about each student.

This school has a high level of violence that the administration does little to control. The seem to care nothing about the safety of the students.

I love Green Acres! The teachers are nice and really care for you. They're really strict about gangs, bullying, and fights which makes me feel really safe going there. The Friday activities are fun, the theater and choir here is very well known for its quality, and there are a good amount of sports and clubs to join. The parents are involved in the school too. All in all, Green Acres is the best middle school I could have wished to gone to.

High-quality teachers, all of whom are available for extra help when students ask for it. Great extracurricular activities, and plenty of chance for kids to be involved. Many opportunities for parent involvement, keeping parents informed via e-mail was a great tool, but not many parents seem to know about it. Principal and vice principals care about kids, know them personally and stay connected. We were suprised and impressed with the education our daughter received at Green Acres.

They need to give more oppertunity for different styles of learning. The teachers all teach by the book and thats not always best.

The administrators need to try different teaching styles. They all go by the book ( with quite few exceptions) and arent open to any kind of change. There also needs to be some kind of clubs for kids that want to just sit and discuss whats happening in the world without interuption from ' the standards'.
