West Valley Christian School is loving, academic, and fun all at the same time. It is cutting edge in technology and sports. The support for the families and the students is phenomenal! I highly recommend this school from Preschool through High School!

We have had both our children in WVCS since they were in preschool. One is now at another school as a senior since West Valley only goes to 8th and the other is at West Valley in 6th. We are in love with the entire staff and have had a good relationship with each teacher our daughters have had. WVCS brought in a new administrator this year and the changes for the positive continue to astound us. We thought West Valley was absolutely the cats meow before and now it is even better. Our daughters are/were being challenged and now with a senior looking at college she has been accepted to every school so far including her second choice (still waiting to hear from her first choice). WVCS is not a perfect school and the staff is not perfect either but they all realize that they are not perfect and when we have had any issue arise they met it with humility and a true desire to correct it. WVCS is definitely a place to look at seriously for the education, care, protection and assisting in ...bringing up your children in the way they should go...

We Love WVCS... Our Son is going on his third year. He is currently in the Pre-K program. The teachers and the staff are so loving and caring. WVCS is more than just a school its a family. The children are academically challenged already learning how to spell in pre-k. Most important our son is learning about our Lord. They offer Extracurricular activities even for the preschool. Our little guy loves his soccer class. Its nice to see all the parents involved as well. The school is great about keeping the parents informed. When we moved to this area 3 years ago I prayed to find a good school for our son and we couldnt be more blessed. If you are looking for a loving and caring environment for your child to learn in then WVCS is the school. WE LOVE WVCS!!!!

My child has been there for two years and we are very happy we found this school. The staff is incredibly kind and caring. The school director is brilliant in terms of implementing new strategies for the school thus never making it dull. The school has a well balanced diversed curriculum. The students starting Kindergarten are exposed to Music, PE, Spanish, Computer and Library each taught in their own individual classroom. They also have a beautiful cafeteria with the best chef Mrs. Pam. The gymnasium is superbe as well. For our child this is the best home away from home!

My family recently moved to the West Hills area. Before moving, we contacted many preschools. West Valley Christian School is the one that impressed me the most. The teachers and director were incredibly kind and helpful. Right away they made us feel welcome. While giving us a tour of the school, my child had the opportunity to visit his classroom and classmates. He was so happy with the school that he didn't want to leave. His first official day of school he walked right in and waved goodbye. In the nearly three months since he started as WVCS preschool, he has grown exponentially both academically and socially but also spiritually. The staff is friendly and communicative. I know that as long as he is at WVCS he will be cared for and taught by the absolute best.

Both my children have been attending West Valley Christian School since they were 2 and 3 years old. They are now in 3rd and 5th grade and continue to absolutely LOVE school, their teachers, the staff and Dr. Lozano! Everyone is genuinely caring and the teachers always take the time to show they have the kids best interest. We are very blessed and grateful that our children are in a loving Christian and educational environment! WE LOVE WVCS!!

I have been affiliated with WVCS for almost 10 years now. I absolutely love WVCS - it's staff, it's administration, it's preschool - everything they have to offer is amazing! It is truly a blessing to have my children there. It's not just about teaching, but it's also about fellowship, caring for families (not being just another number), incredible teachers who love teaching and the children. WVCS lives out their faith and the love of Christ. I couldn't have been blessed with a more amazing place for my children!

We came from a charter school and I have to say that there is no comparison. The instruction materials, the way lessons are taught and the personal attention that my daughter and son are given here are like night and day compared to our previous place. The teachers and staff are professional, compassionate and really care about the student's success. Both my kids have gone from 'hating' school to begging us to take them early every day! That says it all!!

West Valley Christian School is amazing! I have never seen so many happy faces in one place before! The kids are friendly, the teachers are warm and caring, and Dr. Lozano is awesome. When I first came to WVCS, to check out the school, I was greeted by 2 older girls who asked me if I needed help. They not only showed me where the office was, but they walked me there and opened the door for me! Everyone you meet at this school has the same attitude of kindness. It truly is an amazing place for your child to get an incredible education. We love WVCS!

I am very pleased with West Valley Christian School. My daughter attends Preschool and she is 2. My daughter language and academics have flourished since she has been there. It's only been 3 months and she is singing her ABCs, Counting, Colors, and she rides a bike very well. I just love the teachers and the Director. It feels like a home away from home. Dr. Lozano even knows the preschool kids. Everytime we attend a fundraiser night my daughter runs to him. I get to talk to alot of the parents who have additonal children in the elementary and they love it.

"West Valley Christian School is different from any other school that I have gone to. Both of my children are there and they never want to go home. The most important difference at West Valley is how caring the teachers are. They spend individual time with their students and genuinely care about them. The administrator, Dr. Lozano, is a wonderfully kind man who knows each student and parent by name. My kids are challenged academically and nurtured spiritually. This is by far the most amazing school and I am so blessed to have my kids there.

My kids have attended since Pre-School and we have been very happy with not only the education but also how much everyone who works there truly cares about the children. I could have never imagine an environment where they would be getting a great education, love going to school, and be able to trust the students they meet and are involved with regardless of the grades. It has been an amazing experience for them and we are so thankful they can attend despite the fact that we are fortunate enough to live where they could go to some of the top public schools in Southern California! If you are considering or looking for a good school for your children or child , I would highly recommend visiting the campus and if you see a parent I am sure they would express the same excitement I have.

I am so happy with my children attending this school. I have been blown away by the high level of accountability displayed by the teachers, administration and staff. The curriculum and standards for the students are challenging. The teachers have a passion for teaching and care both about the academic and character development of the students. The students are nurtured and respected. My children have told me the teachers are so kind and making learning fun!

This is a superior school in every way. The elementary school teachers are all superb and put the heart and soul into their work and their students. They truly have a love for children (and the Lord) and are loved in return. We had to take our daughter out for a couple of years (due to finances), but have decided to bite the bullet and bring her back. We saw a change in her, being in public school, and realized that her spiritually welfare is most important! Besides, the tuition is affordable and with Dr. Lozano's leadership-I have no doubt that the school will continue to flourish.

As a parent of 2 students who have attended from preschool, my family has been forever impacted in a wonderful way. The preschool is sweet and fun, with lots of caring staff. The elementary has a wonderful variety of enrichment classes such as Spanish, music, PE, band, drama, art, library and computers. Each student has the opportunity to particiapte in ACSI activities such as the speech meet, spelling bee and math olympics. The elementary puts on a variety of musicals that allow the students to sing and act. Weekly chapels allow the students to learn more about Jesus in a fun and interactive way. Once my children hit 4th grade, they participated in a variety of sports teams. Now that they are in middles school, they are enjoying all of the fun of middles school sports, chapels and challanging classes. Dr. Lozano is wonderfully caring leader.

I am the proud parent of two children that both graduated from West Valley Christian School. Both continued in the colleges of their choice and have successful careers. We owe so much of their success to this amazing 'little' school that prepared them not only academically, but spiritually as well. Dr. Lozano is amazing and the school is so much better because of his incredible leadership and love for the Lord. If you are looking for a school that partners with you in every way than West Valley will be your school of choice.

After sending two children all the way through the Los Angeles public school system, with our third child my husband and I realized public high school was no longer a place to get a quality education. My son is now a junior at WVCS. The difference has been stunning. At WVCS the teachers are always available to answer questions or give direction to my son, they always respond promptly, and they want my child, and all their students, to do well. The office staff, administration, and faculty are extremely caring, competent, and committed. My son is getting an excellent academic education. He's also seeing integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence modeled daily by staff, faculty, and the student body. In every regard, he is surrounded by the right stuff. He's very happy at WVCS. It's an exceptional place to get a great education.

Three years ago, before we moved to West Hills, we made an extensive, months-long search for schools for our children. With many University of California alumni in our family, we constantly strive to emphasize the importance of education to our children. So we were thrilled to find West Valley Christian School, a college preparatory school with dual accreditation from WASC and ACSI! We enrolled our children here, and have been very impressed with this school ever since. The education here is academically strong and Biblically sound. The faculty and staff are competent, committed, energetic, and caring. Staff and teachers respond promptly to parental concerns. Students receive individual attention, rarely given in a larger, public school. Strong character values and morals are taught and exemplified. The atmosphere here is always positive, encouraging, and loving. I would recommend this school to all parents looking for a high quality education for their children.

As a parent, West Valley Christian is a dream come true. My daughter has attended this school since the 3rd grade and is now in the 6th grade. We have had nothing but positive experiences at this school. The teachers and staff are caring, motivating, wonderful paople. When you drop off your child in the morning you leave knowing they are in great hands. You are also confident that your child is getting an excellent education. From the office staff to the janitor you see people who love and look out for your children. Due to the fact that there is one class per grade, the children are like family. There is someone for everyone to pal around with. At least once a month my daughter says to me mom I love my school. To me, that says it all!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school.
