Admin and Staff are no all bad but, this school has nothing to offer. All classes are driven by the low preforming students and higher achievers are not challenged. No GATE, nothing for younger students, PTA is a joke, funding has become so bad classes are all of mixed grades. The former Admin was awful and abused the system and school, leaving the place in ruin. The new Principal seems to be trying to make things better, but nothing from nothin is still FWES. It is sad!

I feel that we (parents) have support of a great administrator, and teachers and the principal who love children. We have a small school that tries to give foundations in character and education. Not everyone will be happy all the time but for the most part these people at this school really care about the kids.

As a former parent of this school. I am happy to say that we have an unique staff and parents in Westwood. We are a proud close net community.

I have found Fletcher Walker to be a very poor school. There are a couple of teachers that are great, but most are not so good. It seems they are only concern with what the STAR test results. If your child scores above average or below then this is the school for your child. Kids who are middle range get left on their own. They make staff changes on a yearly basis and there is no consistent guideline's for discipline. If students are caught by staff they get punished. If students complain of problems with other students they get ignored until the problem is out of control.

I have children at Fletcher Walker. They have wonderful, caring teachers, but the parent participation is the pits. A handful of parents do all the work to make activities happen. The quality of education is ok, but the classroom standard leans toward those students on the low end. Holding students on the top end back.
