A great school with a caring, educated staff. If you are an involved parent (as all parents should be), then heed warning of the negative reports here. My child went to Winchester for five years and it was a very positive experience. Look at the big picture, not one episode!
Winchester was definitely not my top choice in schools. Then again, what choice did I have? (transfer denied!) I can say that I appreciate them instilling values, such as college, into their children but that is about it. Overall this school is OK. Much of the administration lacks tact and professionalism. Much of my opinion comes from hearing so many wonderful things about the nearby schools. Winchester simply does not meet my expectation of exemplifying excellence.
This is a horrible school! I was also concerned because according to the district s own website this is one of the poorest academically performing schools in town so when I went to my daughters teacher for a little bit of assurance that there were extenuating circumstances for this, I was actually laughed at for expressing my concern. I have already put in a transfer.
Winchester is awesome! I'm proud to have my child enrolled here. The teachers are the best in the area, passionate, caring and considerate. The entire faculty goes out their way to make learning fun, and really get to know the students and their families. This year we are participating in no excuses university with that we have new after school clubs, teaching about computers, reading and math. All of this is to get children as young as kindergarten excited about college. All the involvement from the parents and staff is really working and our test scores are on the rise.
As a teacher at Winchester Elementary, I have been completely satisfied with my working environment. A great principal, friendly staff, and a terrific population of students. Everyone really has their head in the right place. For the most part, the staff really cares about the well-being of the students and each other. What a great place for teachers, students, and parents alike. We really have something great going on over in Winchester!
What an incredible school! Every staff member, teacher or otherwise, goes out of their way to make each child have an incredible experience. A special thank you to principal Mr. Martin for treating the parents with grace, respect, and courtesy. This school is the bet in Hemet Unified School District!
As a teacher, I love Winchester School. We have a wonderful staff who are dedicated, creative and motivated. Winchester has wonderful programs in place and our test scores are improving every year. As a parent, I have not hesitation about my daughter starting Kindergarten here at Winchester this year. Infact, I originally had my daughter enrolled in private school until I visited the private Kindergarten for a few days. I found our school/teacher expectation meets or exceeds what I saw in private school.
