My child has been attending Clear Sky since it opened. I could not be happier. When we went to enroll our child I was expecting a lot of red tape, like it was in California. The office staff seemed to come off rude, as mentioned in other posts, but only because I expected enrollment to be more of an issue than it is. There is nothing to it, except to sign up and go to class. The office doesn't have anything but basic info until your child is enrolled and has a classroom. My child has been at or above grade level every year, all the teachers have been great to work with. They instantly answer questions in person or email. Most every parent shows up for conferences, that never happened in Californa. Maybe about half. Most all parents I have met are invested in their childs education. Thats what makes it a great school. Most I talk with reinforce whats going on in the classroom at home. Critical for success at any school. Teachers are at the school to teach cirriculum, and the parents teach the kids how to learn. It's a great partnership at Clear Sky.

I am moving my life and family to Castle Rock from Las Vegas because the school district is ranked in the country's top 10. My expectations may have been too high, because the first two people I have spoken with...registrar and front desk...don't seem friendly at all. Any recommendations for working with them?

To the lady who is home schooling her child...I could barely read your comment..bad grammar...sorry for your child!!! My son has been a student at Clear Sky since it opened and now my daughter is in kindergarten with Mrs Clouthier who is an awesome teacher! My son had Ms J. Brown last year and she was fabulous and he has Ms. Rengers in 3rd and we couldn't be happier!! All my children's teachers have gone above and beyond for my kids!

For the most part, the school and teachers are great. My kids love it there. However, the front office could you a house cleaning. They are very unfriendly and snobbish. I have never seen a school office like it. The school could definitely use some friendly team members to greet parents and visitors!

I have 3 children at clear sky and have yet to have a bad experience with anyone there. All of the office staff is very friendly and helpful. I can see how one of the staff can be misconstrued and possibly be viewed as unfriendly, but I think she was put in that position to fill in for the lady prior to her, who was killed. The principle and asst. principle are The principle and asst. principle are very nice and handle the children well, they make an effort to get to know the parents and are extremely qualified. The teachers as well as the special Ed teachers are very qualified and are very good with the kids (as well as the parents). Communication from the school as well as the district has always been great too.

I am 100% with the other 1 star review. The staff is cold and rude. We were new to the area and this is the only school we can go to even though the other school available, (soaring hawk), is equidistant to our house. I wanted to have my daughter attend school there because they are still doing half days for Kindergarten. Well they won't work with you either though the lady was very nice. I wish there were other options. I have no idea about principals I did not get that far. We're now homeschooling.

Agree with the following comment with the exception of the assistant vice principal: 'The office staff is cold as ice. Lacks the warmth that you would like to see in an elementary school.'

I have two children at CSE, each of whom came to the school from another elementary within the district. My children have demonstrated a great deal of growth since entering the school, a testiment to the CSE staffs hard work and commitment to kids. Furthermore,I find them to be very compassionate and knowledgeable, but more importantly, they establish and foster positive relationships with kids. My children absolutely love the teachers! I consistenly receive communication from the staff with respect to upcoming events, announcements, as well propt notification of an absence, should I fail to call the school. Overal, I have been very pleased with CSE.

Very disappointed with this school. Very unorganized. The office staff is cold as ice. Lacks the warmth that you would like to see in an elementary school. My child's teacher continually falls asleep in class, is absent all of time and brings their personal woes to school. Unfortunately with the lack of attention that the top administration pays to the school things will never get any better.
