We attended Stedman for the Advanced Kindergarten program, and have remained there since. You will not find a more dedicated, friendly committed group of teachers/administrators. Stedman has also won Colorado's Center of Excellence award 3 years in a row for academic growth. Don't be fooled by the Great School's low rating, this school is an amazing, loving environment with a focus on each individual student and their academic progress. As a neighborhood school, I'd put it at the top of the list in DPS.

Stedman is our neighborhood school, but we initially chose into a different, very highly ranked elementary. After years of driving to-and-from school, after-school enrichment programs, and play dates, we finally gave Stedman a chance. I am so happy that we did! There is a lot to be said for walking to-and-from school as a family. There is convenience and peace-of-mind. And, the children that our son plays with at school are our neighbors. It's been wonderful. The principal and the teachers are excellent so far. The educators engage the children and our son has been making excellent academic progress. The school takes character education seriously and the kids have been very welcoming to our son. If Stedman is your neighborhood school, please consider giving it a chance!

I'm so happy to have a great school like Stedman in the Parkhill community. I'm did'nt choice out of my community. I have an advantage my son and daughter can walk to school. Walking to school should be an experience for all children. They are in a great learning environment. The principal and teachers really care if your child learns. Stedman is on its way up in the Denver Public Schools.

Stedman Elementary is an excellent school. My daughter and our family had a good experience this year. My daughter now is a good reader and speller. My daughter did not have these skills until she went to Stedman. If you are looking for a great school in the HEART of Parkhill I recommend Steadman. It's the BEST....

Stedman Elementary School in Denver, Colorado is a great school because the Teachers and the Principle are highly innovative in their delivery of educational services to students. Not only do they bring a real sense of community to the neighborhood, but they are great at bringing the community to the school. The after school programming really engages those students that participate, and during the summer, the school goes far beyond providing free U.S.D.A. meals to children in the community, but Stedman offers a Summer Scholars Program (teachers volunteer their time) so the students won't fall behind in their learning. A community is only as good as it's schools, and Stedman Elementary Schools makes Norteast Parkhill a great community to live in.
