This is an amazing school! My kids have been to private schools and Evergreen is better than a private school. Excellent teachers and all the staff really care about the kids.
This school has been great for my Daughter i had her in a private Catholic school in middle school and she was struggling and just did not quite fit the 'mold' she's always been a social butterfly, and at evergreen she has great friends and her grades have improved by a landslide!
I agree with the student that posted yesterday - This school is awful. I have had the phone hung up on me several times by office staff when trying to reach my kids, and some are very rude and unprofessional. School personnel here obviously 'could care less' about parents too.
This school is awful. Their are so many unnecasary rules and regulations, and the students have their freedom stripped away. The administrators only seem to want to bust the us students, and always assume that we're doing something wrong. Most teachers just 'teach to test' and could care less about their students well being. The teachers and administrators are rude, and unproffesianal.
Evergreen High School is the great combination of a small community, very active parents, a dedicated teaching staff and an 'excellent' rated school. I have had kids in private schools and Evergreen High and they flourished at Evergreen. I love it.
Poor school as far as regular classes go, honors and ap classes are decent. Sports are fine and quite competitive in certain sports. Student population isn't diverse at all. Students seem sheltered due to the remote location. Parents have too much control over the workings of the school.
Excellent AP program. High level of parent involvement. Sports lack somewhat because of the remote location.
EHS provides great opportunity for all students, in most areas. Integration of new students into the school's societies is somewhat lacking, though. So breaking into the 'cliques' may be difficult for students new to the area. I am impressed with the teaching staff, and the counselors seem genuinely involved with the students under their guidance.
Academics are extremely limited. Most all of the science and math teachers cannot teach well. Parents run the school, students and teachers have no say. Very good social studies department.
Poor scheduling of classes and programs. Office personnel rude. Poor funding of programs. Not happy with this school. Kids who take atheletics should be able to have it for thier class and get creditability for it.
