Hi, I am not going to complain. I have been happy with Butler. I love how my son has been able to be in the same class as his best friend each year. He has had sweet teachers who really try to work with me on various issues. You guys are great when I have to retrieve my child for appointments without a big interrogation. I think some of the other parents in the parking lot situation could use some help though.
I have been saddened by some things that go on at Butler. I do not like that my child is moved to three different classes. It is confusing to me and him. I also do not think the administration is doing enough to foster the feeling of community in our little town.
I think the staff and administration at Butler is fantastic! They truely care about the students and parents. My child was in preschool and her teachers were fantastic! My son was in first grade and his teacher really pushed him to acheive more than I expected. Well done Butler staff!
I have two children that attend Butler Elementary. For the most part they have had good teachers who push them to do their best. The administration has been sketchy over the last couple of years and it is still showing as the new administration tries to stabilize the school. My biggest complaint is that my daughter, who is in first grade, attends three different classes. She attends one class to show on paper that the school is not discriminating, another class to learn and another class to learn with other kids at her level. I understand the need to integrate the children, I do not understand how having children attend a class for a limited time is truly doing that. However, I do not know what a better solution would be due to language barriers.
