FFCHS is a great school, their lap top program is set up to help kids be prepared for the real world of technologies. I have read other parents complain about the program however, I feel that if you do more than talk to your child when needed in regards to rewards and punishments they will not abuse the privilege. It does have down sides which is why I did not give a full boat of stars, ( I have had 2 kids go here, one has graduated already and the other graduates this year ) Both my kids ( 1 boy and 1 girl ) have had issues with teachers losing assignments even when turned in online, I started having them take screen shots of the uploaded assignments and having to send emails to teachers asking them to look for the assignment again to which they found that which was lost.

I love the district. The only thing that I do not like is that the school does not offer the option of not giving your child a laptop. My son has been there for 2 years now, and this is his last year due to the laptop. I really would prefer my children to have access to them, but not on a daily basis to take home. I would love for my child to pick up a book, and use a pen and a piece of paper. My son is no too responsible with the laptop. Although the rules are set, he still visits Facebook regularly and he downloads movies and music to watch and listen to. He is told that it is for homework, but he is a teenager with a laptop. He will be going to Mesa Ridge next year to use books instead.

I went here my freshmen and sophomore year. I didn't really like it. The teachers were ok. The problem was that kids bullied me just about every day which kinda ruined it for me. If your fit in with the people there, then it will be great. If your like me, then it will be terrible.

I went here two years before I moved. I must say that I wish I could have stayed. The school was well kept, the teachers knew what they were talking about adn made an effort to keep class fun, the students (especially in the honors classes were amazing), the school was all around awesome. The sports program is outstanding with caring coaches, the sports complex is top notch, their are clubs for every student. I couldn't ask for a better school. The laptops are a major plus.

This school by far has been the best school that throughout my high school years. FFCHS was my fifth high school and never in my life have I seen a school with so much interaction and communication from the students, teachers, counselors and staff. The school provides the students with so many opportunities that many of the other schools that I have attended did not offer. They really help lessen financial burdens as well for tests, and the only school where they have not asked a student to bring in a lot of materials. The counselors are amazing!!! Their doors are always open and help cater to your needs greatly. The school helps students to try and open up to ideas beyond high school. We even have a leadership class! FFCHS does a lot for the Fountain community as well; especially, for the volunteer work we do.

I love the school, I've gone here three years and now am a senior in the school. I love how dedicated my teachers are to my work and the laptops are wonderful. I'm normally a disorganized student with papers and I'd always be loosing my working because I'm so disorganized. the laptops help me keep my work and I've gotten better grades thanks to it. I would not want to go to any other school in Colorado. if your having problems with keeping your kids away from the internet, it's not the schools fault. its your fault for not being able to control your kid. It's mean to say but entirely true.

This school is one of the finest I have ever seen in the public school system, it was unfortunate that I had to take my 2 sons out and had to move to North Carolina but this is the Army life. I have read the statements of other parents and I agree mostly. Any parent who can't get their child to do work instead of surf the net needs to look at themselves, not the school. This school sees the future for our children and is taking the right action to help them get to where they need to be. I applaud the school system for integrating the computer systems and think this should be a program nation wide. My sons loved the school and were both Honor Roll students as well as taking advantage of the many activities the school had to offer. Good Job FFCHS. Go Trojans!!!!

FFC has a young staff compared to what I am used to with other school districts, which initially I was concerned about. Instead, I have been pleansently surprised by how dedicated and creative my son's teachers are! The laptop program has its pros and cons. I'm glad my son is learning how to use technology as it really will help him prepare for his future. It can be a distraction, as mentioned by others, but it also serves as a good way for my son to learn some personal discipline. The school's technology department does have the capability to help monitor usage both at school AND at home. From my perspective, the laptops were a great move for the school and its students. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend this school district!

This school year my honor roll daughter is failing because of the lap top program. She would rather google, play on you tube, find wallpapers to decorate it pretty, look up interenet garbage then study and has nothing but 0. Its impossible to get her to do her assignments with this thing open to distract her everytime she sits down to work. Im taking her out tomorrow and finding a new school for her.

I have both a senior and a freshman attending this school. I hate those laptops. We were told that the students would give up the text books and would only be having the laptops. Not so! M kids carry roughly 50-60 lbs of crap with them daily. There are no lockers, so they carry all of this all day long. Not to mention, their laptops constantly break down or the school service isn't working. There are some decent teachers but just as many that should not be teachers.

I am currently a sophomore attending FFCHS and I really think that FFCHS is an awesome school for anyone to attend. It has many things to offer students like caring counselors who helps you out with family members currently in the military forces. I highly recommend anyone to go to this school because everyone is really friendly!

As a child in a military family, this is the third high school my son has attended. We are very impressed with the school overall and especially with the JROTC program. Our son has been able to take 4 college courses this year and earn credits for college - all for free. They are the only school in the Springs that pays for these classes. He has been involved in varsity sports, soccer and wrestling, and was readily accepted onto both teams.

FFHS is showing improved CSAP scores and a commitment to education. I do somewhat disagree with a previous analysis that only football players get preference. Most of the coaching staff encourages students to work on grades and the importance of doing good in high school. Overall it is a good school attempting to deal with issues like bullies, economics, poverty, and improve. There is a diverse student body and several clubs, activities that students can particpate in.

FFC H.S. is more concerned about their outward appearance than the kids that are in the school. They boast about having a Zero-Tolerance policy however they are never willing to back it up. If your child plays football this is a great school to go to because they can basically get away with whatever they want with no punishment., however if your child is not on the football team then watch out. The majority of the teachers are great. There are a few that are more concerned with the sports programs but there are enough other ones that can give your child a good education. Gangs are not a problem here and they do have the most student contact days in the area. There is an over emphasis on the CSAP in the lower grades.

The academic programs at FFCHS are amazing. The focus and dedication given to each individual student is truly remarkable. My daughter loved her years there, and took all art classes from Metal shop to ceramics. There are a wide variety of clubs and sports, and parents can come in and inquire about their student's well being or check online and are constantly informed of all progress made. This school is absolutely amazing.

The school student body is a mix of military dependant and local students and is in transition at times. They do offer a wide range of courses and a majority of the teachers are dedicated to the students and education. The are a few exceptions. They are attempting to address the bullying problems and behavior problems of a school with an student count of 5000 students. Overall it is a good school working on educating the students and improving the CSAP scores.
